Agreed. Make the missiles move slower, though. Refer back to my posts on the dragoon/goliath shots for this.

My soul wants spider mines to be able to target workers. That way you don't get free expansion denial and you gain much more powerful harass (which would be awesome).
Increasing the amount of time it takes for a mine to burrow to prevent mid-harass damage from destroying players without progamer reflexes would also help, and mines could have their range reduced by one.

I'd rather mines stay the same then that. They are suppose to be map control and buffer units.

Yeah. There are less people for last few days in starbow channel. But in evenings you shouldnt have problems with finding them. I guess some of them are logging in and after noticing nobody is online go to play something else and come back later. At least im doing so :D. Often when i start to play with someone soon nice group is gathering.
And yes. Last 2 days people could party instead of plaing starbow.

What size is the map (playable)? Space in SC2 needs to be like 30-40% larger number-wise in comparison to areas in BW.

Yeah, I find Lunar to be the best benchmark in size. 90% of BW maps are 128x128, and it feels like SC2 160x160 translates pretty well for playable ground area (disregarding any border flying areas; have to increase to compensate for that). I'm looking to redo SC2 Fighting Spirit to make it larger. Right now, it's 136x136, but that includes flying-only border area, so I'm thinking 160x160 would be better. Needs more open space in comparison to how much BW has. After that, I'll actually change it if need be to make it more Starbow/SC2 friendly.

This looks nice! Not sure how good the size of the map will be (148x148), but I think we can just use that at least for a template (can be enlarged later). I'm not sure how I feel about the elevated ground with tower and grass in the middle (maybe remove grass), but we should try it out! Please upload it with the latest Starbow! I'm excited hah
What's the high ground mechanic in Starbow? I forget

I like how people say that the games move to fast, battles are over too quickly BW was better etc etc...

On NA we have 50 percent miss chance. EU doesn't have it right now last time I checked.
@Doom Did you know, (assuming both games on faster) it takes roughly the same amount of time for a goon to kill a goon as a stalker takes a stalker? Cannon/stalker/boon time to kill matchups are the same from BW to SC2 to as well. The whole everything melts thing? Thats something you can't tweak directly, the engine lets a WoL toss keep his army in the most efficient form ever which makes all of the dps for the entire 200/200 battle destroy either army extremely quickly. Zooming in doesn't exactly help that.

@Doominator10 Yeah, the battles being over too quickly have little to nothing to do with the game speed or anything like that. It is just that units deal so much damage and the overall DPS of an army is much higher than what they were in BW in comparison to how much HP units have. Decreasing gamespeed is just a bandaid fix.
@decemberscalm Oh, I see, so BW high ground mechanic. Nice ^^ Would you be willing to upload that map with Starbow (well, I can do it, too), or should we ask permission or wait or something? I can modify the map so that it has the appropriate resources (and remove grass, perhaps), if you want.
