I know you are making a replica of broodwar but was it necessary making the workers that big? Every time i see a probe in my base, it seems like it will eat my CC lol :p

I do hope MavercK changes his mind,that Guardian is just too sexy.Its like it jumped straight out of Brood War.Outstanding job regardless...

New version going up now


Changes done by me (MavercK)

Goliath HP reduced from 150 > 125
Goliath Cost reduced from 150/50 > 100/50
Shield Battery now regenerates Energy
Supply Depot HP increased from 350 > 500
Armory Cost reduced from 150/100 > 100/50
Chitinous Plating Upgrade Cost increased from 0/0 > 150/150 (lol)
Pneumatized Carapace Upgrade Cost increased from 50/50 > 150/150
Rate at which Terran Structures "Burn" has been halved.
Defiler Movement Speed reduced from 2.8125 > 2.3175
Arbiter Size reduced by 15%
Reaver Size reduced by 15%
Ghost has undertaken another sex change
Time it takes for a Worker to "Mine" increased from 2.7 > 5
Amount of workers you start with reduced from 6 > 4
Zerglings no longer have Wings after Metabolic Boost has been Upgraded
Spider Mines no longer kill other Friendly Spider Mines with Splash Damage
Spider Mines and Scarabs "Mass" and "Push Priority" changed to 0 (This prevents other units trying to path around Mines/Scarabs)
Medic - Restoration Ability/Research added
New sounds for Medic
Reduced Nuclear Strike Cast Range from 12 > 8
Ocular Implants upgrade/Research added
Antennae Upgrade/Research added
Apial Sensors Upgrade/Research added
Observers and Overlords are now granted increased Detection Range along with their Sightd Upgrade.
Defensive Matrix added to the Science Vessel
Defensive Matrix Shield HP increased from 200 > 250
Defensive Matrix now has a 50% chance to leak 1-3 Damage per attack
This isn't exactly how it worked in BW but i have no real raw/hard numbers on this ability that i can find anywhere
Arbiter Tribunal now requires Templar Archives aswell as the Stargate
High Yeild Locations removed and replaced by normal expansions


Changes done by SC Reborn Team (http://www.sc-reborn.com/)

Alot of Behind the Scenes changes (ID changes/actor tweaks/etc)
Addons now Morph correctly. Can be captured by an Enemy Player.
All of the Energy Upgrades tweaked/added
Medic - Optic Flare Ability/Research added
Supply Depot Footprint changed from 2x2 > 3x2
Supply Depot Facing changed from 180 > 202.5
Supply Depot Scale changed to reflect 3x2 Footprint
Shield Battery Added
Hallucination reworked and added to High Templar
Minerals per Trip increased from 5 > 8


Notes -
with the current settings i was able to do the Terran "FD" Build quite reliably with good timings

Spider Mines no longer kill other Friendly Spider Mines with Splash Damage

Why this? On BW mines killed eachother, that way mines gonna be too much cost-effective. They are really cheap anyway.

Defensive Matrix now has a 50% chance to leak 1-3 Damage per attack
This isn't exactly how it worked in BW but i have no real raw/hard numbers on this ability that i can find anywhere

It always leaked 0,5 damage no matter the amount of damage.

hey MavercK is there a way to add the broodwar mod to an existing map? I dont care too much for the high ground mechanics but more for the data that has been changed. And is there a way to add it without changing the the wings of liberty units at all?
Like lets say I want to make a map where you can play your broodwar modded races and have the option to play WOL units. So in a sense create a map with 6 races?
I've tried tinkering with the editor but I cant seem to create an entire new race without screwing up one of the old races.

Any ways cool stuff.

i was assuming mines didn't kill each other. i dunno. it just seemed crappy. i will fix it in the next version if it is true.

and thank you for the info on defensive matrix. i will change this in next version.

you'd have to create everything from scratch. it's doable but one hell of a job.

Found Grand Line sitting in my map folder :D, hearing the Overmind voice over that crazy Zerg queen lady is pretty refreshing after so long >< Appreciate this.

wow a LOT of huge changes this time! good job!

one thing i really miss is Fighting Spirit!!

i think thats by far the best BW remake atm
would love to see you release bw-fighting spirit again :D

im hoping to soon do move to a mod and then have 3-4 maps done. need to work out something to do for EU.

i am currently deleting the 1.5 version i uploaded and instead upload the latest one
perhaps could you (mavercK) name a new version you release with a version code?
i mean the last 3 versions were all called 1.5 .. so you can't rly distinguish them on battle.net

Maverck, I have a good version of Colosseum that you can use! If you want to I can just delete the LOS-blockers and towers.
