What would be interesting if if you included the Starcraft 2 version of the races as well. It would be interesting to see some Starcraft 1 T vs Starcraft 2 T (with all the different Starcraft limitations such as MBS etc).

This actually could make for some fun. Though I don't know what kind of limitations there are on map sizes (file size, not grid size) and dependencies and such. MavercK has done some pretty suave "pre-game selection" jazz that maybe on a map or two something like that could be integrated. Idk if it'd be possible or how much work though, like I mentioned. I'd definitely try it though!

It would be a good idea to organize a fun tournament between actual SC2 programmer but on the SC2BW version.

Have you thought about talking to the people who made Project Revolution (SC total conversion for WC3)? They've re-modelled every unit in BW to perfection, I know the guy who did some of the modelling so if you're interested I can message him on your behalf.
I really think this even as an alternate graphic mode would push the mod to its peak.

Gna has been doing good work however and the only limiting factor right now is the exporter

The scary thing is you cant even micro them like bw mutas in sc2bw, which saddens me  . You can't use them to their full ability.
