I could add that he would then change the map (add a computer, change the "map info" name to one of his choice) and to then use "test map" feature which might do the trick.

They're really two different things? I mean, we use the same account and password to connect to both right?

("We regret any inconvenience etc") They give the access/galaxy and then tell you that they don't (new trendy word sense) "support" it! This won't solve his internet problem, but fewer people use galaxy/its platform, so it could work, same for test map.

So I always assumed they were one and the same. I have frog disastrous internet connection sometimes (average to low the rest of the time, although "ping" softwares tell me it is excellent all the time: lol) and I have had many different scenarios since Wol: bnet doesn't let me in while "gnet" does and vice versa. Not to mention all the bugs this platform performs #sigh#. My kid's windows pc has never been able to connect to it (only got it recently, I have to publish/open maps through my mac whose galaxy doesn't feature the units menu, and whose synching dependencies fail half of the time #facepalm#), this due to windows8 (and up)/mac/"gnet" synch problematics I suppose (circumventing has venting in it #joke sigh# so I shouldn't blame anyone for it). However, what I would bet my life on is that there is not one good reason for these two platforms to be common or related, even in the slightest! "Treat it as a beta" is the "professional" point of view of blizz or any application on the market for that matter (for instance, how soon before sc2 mapmakers need to be part of "win10 insider" just to be able to use such platforms?). No they do not get "heavy traffic" (less than 1/10000 consumer uses it), no they do not tell you that you can play your map on "older" patches if an update kills it, etc. This is a remnant of years of history that lingers on until the new model destroys the old: you buy an editor/game, not a game with an unsupported editor. Until then, quagmire status will be the norm. Here, one must pause to say "Thank you Blizzard for reeasing your map editor, no one else does it <3 ! tldr: This is sparta!
