I understand it must be frustrating to have put so much effort in the HMH and DH mods, only to realize that a much simpler solution exists. But in time I hope you will let go and join the GEMmers. Thank you Kindly Just ask here what you want to do and we will supply or redirect. 1/You want to do a mod not a map. You will then apply this mod to maps easily. If you wish to rearrange or change /vary the actual units, you will have to do a map everytime, this will not be do able any other way (you will still apply your mod if applicable). 2./You want to change simple or complex tasks performed by the workers. You will have to change the abilities/behaviours involved or channel your changes through triggers. 3/You will need to test it. Ask for testers here in a thread. 4/etc If you make it on out alive from mapster or never dare to search there and wish for us to help, we will! There are plenty of people that have gone through what you are doing, rest assured it won't be short and probably will be nasty and tasty. But you won't be alone. eliza will be there to comfort you. But what about a more conservative option with a map somewhat in the style of Bridgehead or BW's Loki II, but with the backdoor expo being mineral only, and having a second "natural" either in the proper place like in Loki or not too far away like in Bridgehead that has all the correct resources? So you could turtle on 3 bases but forgo the 3rd gases, or take more dangerous bases (maybe a triple gas base in places where you could otherwise put a gold base) for additional gases. | ||
