Maybe it's already in use by someone else?

Or maybe it doesn't like the fact that the filename is different from the publish name - your map is called Talekna, but the file is Telakna.SC2Map. Watch your typos.

Other than that I'm not sure, the error message is pretty vague

Is it possible that you wrote "Starcraft" in the description or somewhere? The LOCALE shouldn't stand for something you can't type but for the position where the error occurs. If that doesn't work I'd just try around a bit with different names. You can always delete it again.

And yeah, it is kinda funny that you misspelled the map name there^^

It's because Blizzard has filtered words. Try remove certain words that contain any sort of aggression whatsoever. Even words like africa, white and black are censored.

I encountered a similar problem. The "Change Name" button from the Publish Document window does not successfully update the name of your document. You actually have to exit that screen and go to the menu bar: Map > Map Info. Here you can change the text field 'Name' to your preferred map name. Click 'OK' and when you return to the Publish Document window the error should be fixed and the correct name should appear under the Published Name field.

Hope that helps anyone who encounters this problem.

Yeah, i've had something similar to that since one person published an early version of my map and then i had the same map to publish but updated and I needed to change the name. If putting a 1 or a space after the name doesn't work at the publish screen try changing up map > map info too.

apparently the editor doesn't realize that you changed the name of your map UNLESS you change it in the map info changing the name in the publish screen doesn't do anything, its the "just another starcraft II map" name that's getting you there

I've had this bug with every single map i've tried to upload except the first one I did back in phase 1. If it doesn't say this error it says something else like invalid option or some other errors. I can not upload any maps no matter what options I select, or what I name the map.

The problem is by default under Map: Map info, the default name is "Just Another StarCraft II Map" which immediately disqualifies it for publishing, just change that, took me ages to find that when I was mucking around with publishing.

This is your problem. You have not changed the real name of the map which defaults to "Just another Starcraft Map" and you can't have Starcraft in the map name.

Ops I didn't see there were two pages of posts.. oh well.

I'm not able to publish maps either but it isn't showing an error message at all. It just stays at 0% uploaded forever. Anyone with a similiar problem or a solution?

nope, still can't publish. Still giving errors

Originally created in starcraft broodwar for professional gaming leagues in korea. Recreated in starcraft 2 as similar as possible without creating balance issues.

you can't type in any real life locations for some reason and i just changed starcraft to sc

got that to work.

still have issues with my reverse LT:
The map name '?????' is not available [???? <zhCN>]
no matter what i name the map it says this...
