that does seem likely, as the places they could move it look too close to the cliffs. still, being pro map-makers you would think they could figure out some way around that

You know, they could normalize it by having the 'to the top' and 'to the left' geysers be a tile or so further from the nexus/cc/hat. That way it would require 4 workers at every location and maintain positional balance, at the cost of introducing a map quirk.

ie. you could now put geysers to the right or below to have correct positioning of geysers relative to ramps, etc. without having a worker disadvantage for doing it

I brought my friends to TL at school to try and introduce them to SC. First thing they see, freakin baby pic. No way they're going to play now.

Also, the gas at 7:00 is made that way because that's the only position that's balanced. Any other position, they'd either have to move the mineral line or make it so you need 4 workers to mine from it effectively.

Two problems with this:

a) I'm skeptical [top/left + tile away] is equal to [bottom/right + tile closer] in terms of gas mining efficiency
b) Needing four workers for maximum gas harvesting speed would completely change every build order, and probably alter the game as we know it pretty dramatically.


Errol's right. They made it so you need 4 workers on Katrina as well because altering the gas position there would dramatically affect the positional balance. Also, trying to play ZvZ with each gas in each main at a different position is impossible. It's either wasting or drone, or losing by one or two mutas in the muta battle.

Hey, I have a question that might have been answered already, so bear with me and just answer it again. It is also kind of embarrassing because I have never liked any of the music in Korean esports. So: What is the song during the intro? Do I only think it's catchy because I'm drunk? Please answer my questions and save my sanity.

EDIT: I suppose it's only a short clip so I still have my dignity... Maybe I'm sobering up.
