does anyone know how they designed the bracket? i didnt watch that stupid bracket show. because i would of expected each set of 4 players in a row would contain 1 player from each region + 1 seed from last season, but huk got 1 eu player and 2 NA players.
then in the wider group of 8 of his bracket, the 2 koreans had to play each other first round. this just makes 0 sense to me. i know mvp was a providence seed but thats still 1 korean player under 'average'.

Umm? Lol yeah his first two games were sorta easy. Really he played well both games. I am sorry liquid'ret is not "easy" I think he is one of the most underrated players out there. He is extremely good. Sorry FXO Oz is not "easy" either, arguably he is one of the top5 toss players in the world.
Huk is just really good, stfu hater!

Best MLG yet. The upsets were insaaaaaaane.
It seems to me that the players' understanding and execution of their strategies is just skyrocketing. It seems like when you just understand the meta game, all these guys bring about new metagames all over again. I love it.

damn... nestea and mc...
nestea better start owning face again

is MLG offering any kind of pass for the finals?

First of all, why do you keep calling people foreigners? When playing in New York, the Korean's are foreigners if any. It doesn't make any sense calling people outside of Korea "foreigners". It's equivalent to calling casters aliens.
Secondly, Huk played in my opinion "over his capability" with some DT harass to sweet the cheese cake before he ate it. Oz should have taken that game in a straight up match. He probably will fall face first in his next match ;( Beware of DT's!!
Naniwa did a good job working through waves of lameness and cheese today and for that I am impressed. DeMuslim played good as well, especially vs Nestea, but unfortunately it seemed like every game ate on his nerves and energy and every step of the way he felt further and further from reaching the finals. None of the remaining players that he played had the skill level of Nestea, so he should have been able to go further. Maybe Nestea just played "bad" in that specific game? I don't know. All in all really solid play though.
Props to MLG. I don't pay for GSL because of some of the code A casters and the high price, but this event was worth paying for! They had some less interesting casters at stream 3 (I think), but all in all really well produced!

foreigner is an old convention from the brood war days
a lot of sc2 pros say foreigner too, if they had a bw background :o
|
wow...you know what that means? There is a new generation out there...we should call them NGS...Oh man I'm getting old.
(Foreigner means what Waxangel said)

It's been awhile since I've seen anyone asking about the "foreigners" tag. o_o

Other pros have talked about it on shows and such. I would also put Oz in the top 3 toss in the world with MC and an open spot for the flavor of the month

Foreigners = non koreans because they are the dominant ones and in BW the scene was primarily in Korea.
It makes it more complicated if you call someone a foreigner based on where the tourney is, its more simple if for every tournament and for every conversation the term foreigner has a clear definition which in the case of SC2 is non Korean.

We all know how half the ending is going to be - MKP will lose in the Finals and get 2nd place

Eeek... I'm trying to catch up on the MLG games and I see this by accident :-/ What a spoiler.

For sure... There is an option for a spoiler free TL in the preferences, otherwise stay clear. :S

There is an MLG running? Man, I totally missed that by following the ASUS ROG the last two days

I love you Huk, I want to have your babies.

Swedish Protoss NaNiwa had perhaps the most impressive run of today after falling to MarineKing last night, getting revenge on both of his semi-rivals NesTea and Leenock before falling to DongRaeGu late in losers. Even more of note perhaps is the amount of cheese he had to face, having to defend against all-ins five times in his last three PvZs.
I see what you did there.
I wish Ret and Demuslim made it further but they both did amazingly well!

Please, please MKP, actually win this tournament and not get 2nd place again!! <3
