On a note more related to the thread; Isn't it so refreshing to see a macro Terran succeed as well as Jinro has? Sure he's still turtling, but he expands enough to force zerg to expand many more times, scouts the hatches and snipes them.
Well dont talk like turtling is bad, i mean, we whine how there is too many 2 rax all ins from terran, we shoud actualy be happy that someone opted for harder and more risky way ,turtling into almost late game, where zerg is dominant, instead of risking all the time with all ins.

It worked well because moon was ready for an early pressure game. The barrack so far out and everything made him even more sure about it. After that point it is really hard to reset your mind set and change the way you have visualized the game.
Also, not really sure where everyone gets this "Zerg is the strongest late game" which is not quite true imo. The race coming into late game in best shape will obviously be the strongest, doesn't matter if its zerg, terran or protoss. What we can say tho, is that terran and protoss clearly have alot more options to be aggressive early against the zerg to help them getting ready for the late game. Zerg on the other hand is strong mid game where they can you accelerate and increase their lead getting into late game.
Also, turtling is as bad as all the all-in games. it makes it dull and just boring to watch. What made this game interesting was moons mistakes and Jinros flawless mind games.

A foreigner reaches Ro16, that is cool anyway (altough of course I prefer Jinro).

I always enjoy Idra interviews, thanks!
|
The difference between IdrA getting out in Ro32 and Ro8 is that Nestea gets players like Rain and Maka, and Fruit gets freaking BitByBit
IdrA gets Zenio (top 5 zerg easily) and MVP (top 1-3 terran easily) pretty early. It's not like MVP rolled him over either. Game 1 was close, Idra had a gold base up and running, if he held the attack he most likely would have won. Game 2 he totally dominated. Game 3 he got rolled over from a stimmed timing attack, just like NesTea did from MakaPrime on Lost Temple.
Idra will make top 4 when he finally rolls the dice well in brackets and map pools.

GOGO JINRO!!! take em to the house!

That is really damn impressive Jinro! Amazing attitude and I hope you go all the way!

I really hope Jinro can get S Class! Of course it would be amazing to see him get even farther, but just the knowledge that he'll definitely be in the next GSL will satisfy me

For someone who doesn't get the gom season pass (my internet sucks so it wouldn't be of much use to me), these recap + analysis were really awesome. I know you guys already did this on TL before SC2, but I'm sorta kinda new, and I feel it is awesome to see SC2 presented similarly to major sports, i.e. recaps, analysis, post-game interviews, etc.
The one suggestion I have, and maybe you guys are already thinking about it, is: when doing these features maybe include a series summary. Provide information on how the series went, how both players played in all games, overall play styles, etc. However, these are suggestions so you don't have to take 'em if you don't want to (b/c who am I to challenge that which is TL.net).
Love it regardless, keep up the good work.

geez what's your beef with koreans anyway? It seems like every single one of your posts contain some kind of diss against korean players. That's not the attitude we want around here. When did Nestea play against TSL_Rain? Moreover, "players like Maka"? Really now? Maka is some random Terran huh? Concerning the Fruitdealer's last opponent, he surely is nowhere near as good as most players in the round of 16, but he got a respectable all-in build that got him to round of 16 in the first place.
On a personal note, Zenio is far from being top 5 on my rankings. MVP is godly, I give you that.

so right now can we say that Jinro is the best SC2 foreigner ? guess so

What? There is already recaps and analysis. Recaps are in a way the summary of those games. What exactly are you looking for in series summary? All the things you mention like overall playstyles, how each player plays is already in the recaps.

go Jinro! I wonder what the Koreans would do if Jinro won. Would they uninstall? lol

Those koreans sounds like whiny little bitches >.< are all south koreans like that? :S
User was temp banned for this post.

it`s going to be awesome, i`m sad cause idra got out =/, but jinro is the light in the end of the tunnel =p
jinro vs slayers_boxer slayer
>.< jinroll them all =D

Wow that was.. really good, thanks!
Jinro plays Terran like a boss, really enjoyed those games and hope to see more like that. Sucks IdrA is out, but it's encouraging to hear how things are coming together for him and the rest of the foreigner camp over there now. Good times ahead.

Idra's mindset really hurts him. Approaching a map as 2/3 free win, 1/3 insta loss based on positions (even if it's largely true) can't be helping his chances. He's never gonna make it big in Korea as long as he has so many pre-conceived imbalances and what 'should' happen in his head.

man Idra is my baller! "who cares about s-class it's all about winning" :D he's such a man, man
