The way mason works this game is that you choose a person to mason with for a whole cycle, not day or night, but both. If he shot someone last night as you claim, he would have shown up as mafia jack vig, not mason. The mason would have had to begin today, and you wouldn't get that check back.

Draw your own conclusions.
