Risen: no you did not sign up for COld War on this or your main.
Acro: Thinking about it you seem pretty right. Clearly this next cycle scum need to kill the party. I already protected clarity and I'll mind meld with one of the other likely party members tonight. I assume the other protective roles will do a similar thing. My only concern is with making Syllo a repeat leader. That is why I think clarity is preferable. If you are voting for Syllo to ensure a 'confirmed town' gets elected despite any shenanies I approve.
Keir: no, I think acro's reasons make sense.
VE/Syllo: since there is nothing we can do with that information right now I think that you should wait until next cycle to reveal it or at least alter in this cycle where that information, hopefully, won't benefit scum.

That's a huge flip-flop with zero reasoning :o Dude, do you read the thread? Of course I do. And I'm looking at your filter right now. Between the time that you voted me, and the time that you excluded me, you didn't talk any about this HP or HSM stuff. Then bam, just changed your mind. And called the HSM stuff "shenanigans" without any reasoning whatsoever.
Anyways, I find it hard to believe that an all townie team can lose an event under any situation, no matter how many people are still alive. That kind of system just doesn't make sense. But I guess it could be a possibility.

I find it pretty easy to believe. I mean basically all you have to do is take your zero sum system and make us need >100 or something instead of >0. also: GreYMisT.

I don't know if Bio sent in an action I'll have to look at my role PM to see if that information was given to me. I've sent in an action every cycle, and I don't think revealing ALL of my actions is going to be helpful. Confirmable, sure. Useful....probably not so much. But again - this is your show. I'll do what I gotta do.
|
I suggest you ask Greymist to tell you what actions (if any) Bio took.
|
In fact I find it really weird that that isn't the first thing you asked when you replaced in

Anyways, I find it hard to believe that an all townie team can lose an event under any situation, no matter how many people are still alive. That kind of system just doesn't make sense. But I guess it could be a possibility. 1. The longer explanation is what was in my head when I made my post putting Syllo forward. Between my vote for you and my vote for Syllo, Greymist explained what happened if the party leader (and because of his answer, really any party member) was killed between the vote and the event. It made me realize I hadn't thought things through: we have a delay this time, allowing scum to act between election and event.
2. Why do you think an all-townie event will always succeed? Don't you think the number of participants will be important too?
Random setup speculation incoming (freely interpreted from risk.nuke's post on the same): lets say we need 3 HSM points to win an event. Normal townies give 1 point each. Low HSM townies give 0.5. 3P gives 0. Scum gives -1.
Party with 4 townies: 4 points, yippee, success. Party with 3 regular townies and a low HSM townie: 3.5 points, success. Party with 3 townies and a 3P: 3 points, phew, success by the skin of our teeth. Party with 3 townies and a scum: 2 points, DOOM Party with 2 regular townies, a low HSM townie and a 3P: 2.5 points, DOOM
If someone gets shot, then his HSM no longer counts towards the total, bringing it nearer to DOOM.
Now we have no way of confirming the event works like this without failing more events, which seems like a pretty damned stupid idea, so it is mere speculation.

Okay, it did say in my Role PM that BioSC used one of my actions. It wasn't a 1-shot though so it slipped my mind. Just kinda like "Okay that's interesting" kind of thing.
|
So far I haven't been blown away by the abilities people have claimed and I'm more interested in finding mafia or townies even if it means outing some ability. I can't really keep withholding information very long anyway in case I die.
What did you target Dienosore with?
|
I have an ability where I restore 25% of the target's max health. I tried to restore Dino's health last night. I was roleblocked.
|
You should have told me to wait until next cycle to reveal, oh well.
|
If that ability is not 1-shot you should use it on Dieno again this cycle.
|
I said it wouldn't be useful -.-

No, I roleblocked+tracked him

No wonder this thread is 250 pages long. People have to say stuff 15 times before people read it (or use their brain).
|
Unless Dino is lying about taking damage, then Djo's claim of protection was bogus, right?
Also that post is going to have to wait. I didn't have the time I thought I'd have to put it together, and I have to go to work. It's still open though so I can finish it up tonight after work.

Not really, we don't know what kind of protection. But the cycle post claims Dieno was saved from death by someone, I see no reason to disbelieve it was Djo. In my eyes this makes him town, I don't think scum would waste such an ability to get djo to look townie.
That is even before I look at djo's play and believe he is town.
|
I believe the damage Dieno took was from failing the mission, and therefore it wasn't a nightaction, so Djo's protection would do nothing to prevent that damage.
|
Oh right, the "Mysterious Force" or whatever. Yeah, okay that makes sense.
Anyway, I'll be reading along on my phone and I'll post short answers to questions anyone has if I can, but yeah not much in the way of contribution when I'm on the clock.
Catch you guys later.
