as mentioned this is basicly a game with multiple lifes. Mafia needs 3 turns to kill you with KP only instead of just one night and you probably won't be "lynched" within one cycle either. It's basicly an incredible overkill that could never come into play anyways due to it's costs. A "vig" would be more like something dealing 4 dmg, like the one gonzaw proposed.

I'm sorry, it's just that my lack of normal games is really hampering my play, so I'll join wbg's movie mafia instead. I apologize!

![]() What do you guys think about sideboards? Poll: Sideboards? Nah, unneccesary. (5) Sure, but only to change the deck before the game. (3) Yes, allow players to change their decks before the game and at the end of the second Attack Phase (0) 8 total votes Your vote: Sideboards? (Vote): Nah, unneccesary. Second attack phase doesn't neccesarily need to be the case. I'm thinking of allowing players to sub cards in to their library so they can adapt to what they've seen. What is your guys' opinions on it? Or should I abandon sideboards altogether?

Are the deck types of each player going to be revealed before start of the game, or no? I think that would affect whether sideboards are really necessary.

I don't really like the idea of sideboards now that I thought about it although I already voted "yeah want them". You could pimp it after getting your alignment to be more what you want it to be considering your alignment. I'd say that's in general stronger for mafia than for town because mafia has ths 4/1 unblockable beast thingy town has to live with either way and they can't really adjust to that other than doing massive elven heals. Mafia on the other hand could do a couple of things that are really anti-town that you don't really want to play at all if you're town and therefore are totally useless unless you roll mafia. Just picture the white armageddon or land destruction in general. Someone playing armageddon basicly screws everyone in the game, making them unable to play new monster or spells (which is this games version of lynches) which slows down the game (kind of a no-lynch) while mafias KP grow stronger every day and they can use that no matter of economy. That's stuff that could be really strong for mafia but essentially useless for town and a sideboard means you don't have to think about something that is okayish for both alignments anymore. You just pimp your deck depending on your alignment. If you roll town get those land destructions out and get something different in there fot example. Sooooo, long story short: I voted for yes but I don't want them.
