Role confirmed. Ground rules for a good game and a happy Varpy: - no spamming. Be efficient with your posts and try to make each one count. we don't need to hear every thought you have, so if you want to say something, organize your thoughts and put them all into ONE post
- no lurking. Be active and constructive. We won't be able to get an accurate read on you if you have no posts, and I don't want to have to resort to lurker lynches to get rid of people like that, especially in such a small game.
- no trolling. I understand that you want to have fun in a mafia game, but please don't do it in a way that will ruin the experience for others. fake claiming randomly falls into this category. I would discourage fake claiming in general, but in certain situations it serves a purpose. If you don't have a good reason, don't claim to be a role that you're not.
As an aside, claims should never be trusted outright. If we trust every claim, mafia will claim with impunity and we'll get destroyed.
Palmar, could we try to start discussion without you tunneling the first person you see?

A pro-town atmosphere makes it easier to achieve the goal of finding scum. If everybody posts on-topic and constructively, and weighs in on every issue and discussion point, the chances of scum going under the radar decrease drastically.

I have a proposal, for the purpose of maximizing efficiency with our mandated double lynch. For the first day, maybe the first 2, we lynch a scummy person, one of average activity, and the scummiest lurker.
This achieves all of the goals of a day one lynch (lynch somebody who people have given an opinon on and who will give information when/if we see them flip, as per the goal of a normal game), as well as eliminating a lurker.
Lurkers are hard to read and dare i say distracting to the town as the game goes on, so i'd like to take advantage of the tools given to us and get rid of them early.
As the game continues we will have more information to go on, and the chances of us accurately lynching more than one scum are increased, so we can lynch normally.

Can we double lynch the same person on one day?

Using lynches on lurkers early is a crap shoot. Yes, lurkers suck. But I'd much prefer not to waste lynches on them. Getting rid of the scummiest players early on is much more important.
Although, I do agree, lurkers are extremely distracting to town.

/confirm
I don't know about the lurker policy, this playerlist looks active, and purposeful lurking wll be easily catchable. It's unneccessary and anti-town to make rules on who we can and can't lynch based on such abstract guidelines.

also i feel like varp is mafia, this is very similar to kurumi's mafia and his play there.

I think it goes with the two highest votes, so there seems to be a bigger politcal element in following lynch candidates. If one person gets 1 votes and the next highest is 1 they both get lynched.

A vote for GM is a vote for freedom
GMarshal, the man with the plan
I am announcing my candidacy for mayor! I will clean this town of evil and miscreants from day 1.
Why you should vote me: 1.) I have a losing record as scum, and a winning record as town 2.) I enjoy yelling, that's an important quality in a mayor 3.) I'm not scum. I'm also not Qatol. Therefore nothing can possibly go wrong 4.) I want to lynch iGrok. 5.) I promise not to spam the thread with ponies if elected (I make no such promises if not elected)
Look at me, I'm GMarshal, now look at your other mayoral candidate, now back to me, now at the scrub, now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me, but if he shaped up his posting and read Ver's guide he could post like me. Look down, now back up, you are lynching scum with the GMarshal your candidate could resemble. What's in your inbox? Now back at me, I have it, its a PM with the identity of the elusive third member of the mafia, look again, the PM is now a listcheck with 4/5 voters being mafia. Anything is possible when your mayor is GMarshal and not some scrub. I'm a Vigilante Detective.
In fact, I'm so confident I'm going to vote for my scum opponent who is running for mayor ##Vote: iGrok Now elect me. I have a plan.
The Plan
A supernova, which is an accurate representation of what is going to happen to the scumteam
Now, I was looking through the player roster and I realized something, we have a tautological number of players! What exactly does that mean for catching scum? It means exactly one thing we can use astral tables. Astral tables are an oft neglected method of catching scum do to their immense variability in interpretation, have not fear however, with GMarshal, the Bulletproof DT we will be able to make sense of everything. First let us take a look at the playerlist

Did you look at it? Good, lets look at it one more time

It is now hopefully etched into your mind. Anyway, you'll notice it consists of a number between 7 and 23 and is divisible by five. What does that mean, I hear you asking? Well, by itself it means a lot, we now know that a team of 15 mafia is unreasonable but not out of the question, and that if we have 32 dt claims one of them may very well be lying. Also, from looking at the player list we can feel a congregation of quantum uncertainty around the players with a pink aura, this means we'll have some volatility with the astral chart.
As you all know using the astral chart requires a strict numerological approach, which means exactly one thing, we cannot use player names. In fact, we can't possibly count on being able to address each other with words. Fear not, I came up with a way to remedy that and help us find scum. First, we will all speak in cypher, from now on red will mean green, green will mean blue and blue will mean red, scum will mean town, town third party and third party will mean mayor, pardoner will be used to refer to scum. The word "the" will be replaced by the simpler word "figgymuffins" while the word "a" will be replaced by "gerundesheitbureau" all vowels will be omitted in even words, and subtracted in odd words. Finally every letter of the alphabet will be shifted down three spaces and replaced with the corresponding number. Except even posts, where you will do the inverse. Every player will be addressed by the color of his aura on even days, the number of votes on him on odd days, and an anagram of his name on prime odd days.
Once we have established these simple procedures and elected me as mayor I will reveal the second part of the plan, the mass fakeclaim with number assignations and astrological group assignation.
+ Show Spoiler + In case its not abundantly obvious, I'm not actually playing, I was just bored

lolwut? I feel like sandroba. If we have no lurkers, fine, but too often there've been people who lurk their way to the end of the game because nobody wants to kill lurkers. I'd prefer to get rid of them earlier rather then later.
What's this about comparing me to Kurumi?

not comparing you to kurumi, just noting how your play is similar to your play in kurumi's game when you were scum.

You have given me nothing to refute.

It's going to be natural for people to read into other peoples' play styles.
Also, GMarshal...claiming? And shrouded in nonsensical babble. Why?
