I don't agree with your logic here. If the mafia have a bunch of top spots then they know what wasn't picked early and can snag a powerful role late. In addition, they also know which top spots to target so the thief is exceptionally powerful, unless you believe the mafia have all the top 6 spots or something.

It's kind of hard to demonstrate, but if you need me to I can go back and quote all of them with my thoughts. Basically it's for the same reason people are suspecting me: General uselessness. But his posts carried a vibe that seemed to say he was posting just to post and not because he had nothing to say.

Looks like I've been dubbed king of the lurkers.
Also I don't understand how Caller, Flamewheel, and Foolishness have earned 'likely townie' status.
What is that second list? And why is KavDragon on the 'likely townie' and 'suspicious people' list?
|
Oh, wait. I think I get it now. The people below vote for the people on the top of the list.
Why do you want GMarshal dead the most?
|
Well, if Incognito is town he sure knows how to save his ass with long posts and fresh plans. I don't like how his plan revolves around roles being selected that we don't know are actually in the game (both vote rigger and list-checking DTs/inventors) and his plan is basically dividing up the town in a way that no one is expecting to work. But if we do go along with it he did narrow the suspects down to four.
Kind of curious how I made the short list over Chaoser, though..
|
Whoops, I meant to say 'if Incognito is mafia' and not 'if Incognito is town'. But I guess it works both ways.

Kind of curious how I made the short list over Chaoser, though.. If you survive the lynch, will you promise me to give me the vote list check kit if you are the inventor? I won't tell anyone that you are truly the inventor. Promise.
If you want my cooperation in any way it's probably best if you A: don't target me as a lynch target and B: answer my questions (or statements that are question-like).
Odd, though. I don't really feel like this threat of being lynched is serious.

I like Radfield as town simply because I think OriginalName is bogus.
|
Still can't decide. Threw in a placeholder vote for ON because I have to.
I will be back before the deadline if a decision from me has to be made.
|
Back before the deadline, and I'm going to let it ride. I think the three candidates (Incog, Barundar, Kav) are all equally scummy, and by that I mean not really that scummy.
It should be noted that everyone voting for Barundar right now is suspicious in my eyes except for Radfield.

GMarshal, Node, and Flamewheel need to explain their last-second voting of KavDragon.
|
But for now what? What's wrong with getting more information?
|
More telling is that apparently someone above Decon took Bulletproof. I can't really see anyone that high taking that role.
|
What's that Mr. Wiggles? Was my 'mafia-seeking missile' not a good enough idea?

No, that's not unambiguous. A mafia-vote checker could be a vote-rigging device that's used by the mafia.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Shortest game I've ever played.
Good luck town.
|
Yeah the game was pretty fun, even though I didn't get to play much. I wasn't in top form but thankfully my game was cut short in that regard.
I actually don't like having such a high pick. I felt I was forced into taking my role and then forced into using it a certain way. Still, that's partially my own fault. This was probably not the best game to make a return to, way too much going on.
I wonder how balanced the game is? I feel that mafia lost not due to the town's amazing investigative powers but moreso the utter lack of non-risky violence. The NRA member relies on people coming to you, the capitalist only has one shot, akbar requires your own death, and the CPR doc was Chezinu. Perhaps it was too risky to try to get the really imba combos because of how low everyone in the mafia was picking.
|
I personally would like to see Traitor and Village Idiot taken out, and all roles similar to that. I found it interesting that the game was balanced around the expectation of a traitor being taken, especially with moles active. If you took Traitor and you were a mole all along....well don't you feel silly?
I guess you at least show up as townie for role checks, but still...
But yeah, Villlage Idiot is just dumb. At least make it interesting in some way such as you need to predict when you'll die or some kind of restrictions of playstyle or whatever.
Maybe a mafia game where it turns out everyone on the mafia team is a mole.
|
Well fine then. One Godfather and the rest moles.
