I think he realizes the power of a mayoral lynch and its effects on the mafia. Imagine if a player with really strong analysis got it, they could just ignore what the masses say and get a red, while the masses can be manipulated its much harder to get a single strong willed individual to bend to your will, and anyone who is running for mayor especially with so much effort and force isn't going to easily concede their opinion to you. If mafia realizes that they have to realize that a majority vote favors them day one because it allows them to manipulate people from writing in the thread or PM land, either way. LSB is seriously a great lynch candidate because he tries to make us think the the MoM's influence is only for the first day, which is true but he is downplaying its strength when held by a good player. Since the role comes with no actual extra power the next night as long as he listened to the majority vote which would most likely be wrong then his head isn't going to be up for grabs he did the town sided thing, which is what any player does when they don't want to die. The point of this game isn't to do what is popular, but to do what you know is right. Doing what is popular might get people to not kill you (including the mafia) but it won't yield results. If I am elected mayor I will put my balls on the line, argue into my fingers are red and try to support every action I do. If I fuck up the lynch because I went against popular opinion then I did it with reasoning. If someone wants to just go with a sheep vote it opens up so many cop outs. For all the reasons I outlined, LSB is most likely red and I am willing to put my neck out for my opinion because I have balls and don't need any cop out excuses. If I fuck it up I will own up to that and show you why I fucked up and learned from that. The important thing is that any vocal townie who is going to sway people can't be a mafia or it will fuck you for days. No one can go unquestioned, every day even if someone has a great idea there should be someone saying "why?" otherwise its going to be Salem all over again. I want to be a mayor because I won't fuck around and I won't try to take the easy way out, and I will always be looking for the next move we can make to secure victory. | ||

I would be lying if I said that I think a majority decision is always the best way to do it. The mafia is rightfully scared of one good player getting that first kill off and it not belonging to a townie. Its hard to mount a really strong case against someone day 1 and its much easier for the mafia to manipulate a mislynch which is why they would prefer to do exactly what LSB is doing and deferring the mislynch back into the towns hands and allowing us to fuck it up on our own volition, or so we would be led to believe. | ||

I can't see how you could argue that what I was suggesting is zero responsibility while saying what LSB is doing accepts blame. If I am a person pushing so hard for a lynch and that person dies and flips green whose head are you coming for the next day? When towns fuck up and mislynch day 1 does anyone really get blamed for it? or is it just a bunch of people going "lol day 1 info sucks newayz" this example becomes even more extreme when one person completely controls the lynch, delegating that power is just delegating responsibility which gets us no where information wise. | ||

As far as what I have been doing besides arguing to kill LSB is constantly rereading the thread for the last 5 hours getting reads on certain players to make sure that if I get the opportunity to put my balls on the table and kill someone that I am as damn sure as I can be that who I am lynching is red. In fact, until day 1 is over I will not be done analyzing everything that has been and will be said. | ||

I played with Aidnai last game, he gave off really obvious scumtells. This game he is letting off none of those tells and you are making a mountain out of a molehill. There is not really much to talk about day 1 so saying he said nothing pretty much summarizes all town actions apart from probably three players who generated the original content that was then regurgitated. | ||
