zealots have blue blades, dts have green

to add on, TheGilaboy's picture has a protoss with only one blade; zealots have two.

I want to point out that the evidence, by nature, is very biased toward people with killer, ninja, and what-not icons in their profiles. People should take account of this when exclaiming the evidence.

Ah, I see. I have been out-geeked. I thought DTs had scythes not straight blades.

Very sexy picture! But taking stuff into consideration the pics in the profiles kind of looked like they are masked anyway and they all use knives/blades, stealthy and quick. Even if we were to consider it to be zealots maybe they have let speed upgrades?!

Please reread this before making judgment about the clues.
Clues: Every day post will tell a story describing the deaths of your murdered neighbors. These stories will leave behind clues pointing towards the mafia members. Clues can be taken from anywhere, so long as I see it relating to the person they are intended for. This means names, sigs, profiles, things related to names, etc.

It's worth noting in particular that both with this kill and with a clue in the opening there was specifically a knife involved. To me, this points much more heavily towards an actual ninja than a DT. That being said, there may be other places we can link this besides Zeks' ninja.

Both of the designs are technically right as they're both dts (blizzard made the scythe one as a model in SCII to please the fans) ; the only way you can tell for sure is the color of the blade
...you know you play too much sc when...

I'll try finding more ninja references tomorrow after some sleep.
Good Night everyone

Now barth was defenestrated. I was sure I read something about defenestration in someone's profile - does anyone remember off the top of their head?

What we really need is the person who was protected to step out. Please don't tell who protected you even if you know.
For the detectives who role checked and the result is pro town, you have the option to use that person as your spoke person (it is very unlikely you got the godfather)
|
If past games are any indication, by the way, it's likely that the clues in the Day 2 post relate to the second half of the mafia (Day 1 was the first half).
The night kills were as good as we could hope for. Only two deaths is good news.
I'm really tired, but I think you guys can get along till I wake up tomorrow and have time to really catch up. See you then.

Regardless, there is one godfather in this game. We're going to encounter him sooner or later so it's worth always being on guard. Personally, if I were a DT and I found a townie on my first rolecheck, if I weren't confiding in the mayor or pardoner, I probably wouldn't tell anyone. When I found a second townie I'd tell them both I was the DT and leave a broken code between multiple people for if I got knocked off. This makes it harder for the mafia to just immediately kill the DT if one of them were the godfather - or if they do, the godfather gets revealed and lynched.

defenestration? what is that? o.O
Another thing that might be a clue is " ElyAs moved quickly, breaking into a quick run, hoping to make it back home before he was overtaken. However, he was not to make it." which suggests someone who is a fast runner - not sure we have anyone like that though. The killer also beats ElyAs to the town courthouse in the post.
Of course, the main thing here is stealth - LD, it's true that stealth is usually present in all mafia-death-stories, but in this case, I think it's worth considering, only because of how accented the stealth of the killer is. He was "a masked figure" and "stealthily kept to the shadows" which is pretty explicit. A knife is a normal tool, but combined with the thrown knife from Day 1, I'd consider it significant.
As for barth's death, I'm not sure what to make of it... a weight pushed on him, to make him go OUTSIDE. so the weight come from inside - could've just been a normal person there pushing him, or it could've been a trap of some sort, with swinging weights etc. Seems more subtle than that though.

I don't think it is advantage to telling our detectives to stay low.
On June 06 2010 05:05 onihunter wrote: Based on past games, there are probably 2 medics and 2 detectives right?
The probability that the mafia hit no medics/detectives: 17/21 * 16/20 * 15/19 = 51%.
So there's about a 50% chance the mafia will hit at least one medic/detective.
On June 06 2010 05:18 onihunter wrote: There's also a 73% no detectives are hit, so 27% chance that at least one is hit (about a quarter of the time). This probability will increase after each night until one is actually hit, so maybe detectives should use their role checks pretty quickly. Although 1/4 isn't very high, it's high enough that you can't just ignore it.
19/21 * 18/20 * 17/19 Again, I can confirm onihunter's math is correct. That is the mafia has 3 hit for night kill. As more people die, the chance of medics and detectives to die also increases and there is a significant chance that you might die the next day. Yes, people might think me as the godfather. But someone got to say this.

Gonna emphasize this. You can say "I took a hit last night" - you choose to specify whether or not it was medic protection or veteran life. It might be better to be ambiguous for now, since the mafia don't know that either.

Basically, anyone who ever roleclaims should always "double" roleclaim if possible, and let both people know who you've claimed to. That way, if you die tomorrow, we have a suspect.

After inspecting the Day 2 post, here's what I have to say
TheGilaboy: Two clues point to him. The "hastily constructed barricades" and the "masked figure with knives". In his profile, he not only has a pic of a DT, but he also has the following quote: "2v2 Twilight Fortress you say? Mass DTs it is..."
Littlechava: Has a quote from Mark Twain about violent men that mentions blood several times, could be connected to the bloody knife in the story, but this one is very vague to me.
Tyranos_Nivek: Is that a zealot or a DT? Anyways, the Day 2 post mentions a figure from the shadows, and the protoss in the picture is pretty shadowy.
I know this post doesn't analyze every possible clue in the post, but this is what I've gotten so far that I haven't seen other people post yet.
