OMFG, I was watching that volleyball game and saw that guy, and was like, oh guess Marc Gasol plays volleyball too. Glad to see some other people immediately saw the same resemblance. USA basketball at the olympics is so one sided again, now that the good EU players are getting older. Spain vs USA only possible good game. James Harden got his ankles broken ><

Once march madness starts (playoffs) it gets pretty crazy at the stadiums and bo1 situations make games pretty intense and down to the wire.

People care about college basketball where as I dont know one person who would go to an NBA game and scream their head off and lose their voice. The atomoshpere is 10x better the rivalries are much better and the NBA plays so many more games that its just kind of what ever for the regular season. I love basketball, its my favorite sport and ive been playing all my life, but I cannot watch an NBA regular season game for more than 15 minutes. Although this has improved of late, I feel defense just isnt as important for a lot of players as offense where college basketball every play matters and every game does as well and the NBA i dont feel im missing anything if I just catch the highlights. On top of all this, the NCAA basketball tournament is probably the best post season tournament in all of sports, that alone, makes March my favorite month of the year. EDIT: although they are worse now, these are the guys who will be the NBA's stars some day. I watch NBA finals though and if the Pacers are playing in the post season Ill watch their games or if it is game 7 of a series.

I'm actually enjoying watching these Olympics. The USA games aren't close but there's beauty in watching the best players in the world play as a team. We never get to see that in the NBA.

College basketball has a lot of talent too, some guys could play right away in the NBA like Kyrie Irving didnt need a year at Duke for example. Saying college basketball doesnt have talent is like saying that everybody outside of Korea in Starcraft 2 has no talent. Id compare the NBA to Korea and College to Europe (Better players in Korea, better players in NBA of course there are a couple that could be playing in the NBA just like Stephano and Naniwa can play with Koreans). there are a load of Korean players, some players you never hear of would be europes best (bench players in NBA for example would be better than almost all of college's players.) But there are just so many good players (so many games) that you just get lost and so many without personality (NBA as a whole is just lacking intensity and doesnt have near the fan support that college teams get from their fans) like Swedes will go crazy for Thorzain or Naniwa and their love for them (like people's love for their college team) cannot be matched by a Swedish fans admiration for MC or a top korean (for the most part.)

Yes imagine that, the number 1 draft pick has talent. Out of all the players on all those college teams, there are like 10 players who end up being good, and the rest ride the bench. People just like different parts of both college and nba play. College rivalries are definately better, because everyone in the stands pretty much goes to that freaking school. So the atmosphere can be excellent. However comparing talent between the two is just absurd. The NBA is so insanely more talented than college play that you look like a total moron if you say otherwise. It's really just a matter of preference with which is more enjoyable to watch, saying one or the other is totally worthless doesn't really work.

I don't think he said they are more talented, he didn't even compare them. He said that there is still a lot of talent in CBB and saying the NBA has more talent is just stating the obvious.
