That being said it's stupid how "hyper carries" pop off at 1-2 completed items now. :-/ On October 05 2017 21:28 AzAlexZ wrote: New meta, Bramble vest on Corki It is pretty clever imo it's fairly cheap, Lucian lands alot of autos due to passive and as a small bonus sorcs should increase the reflect damage too. Hell it's decent vs Kog'Maw too due to the AS stacking.

My impressions: G2 vs SSG G2 did okay. They're nothing special, but didn't crash and burn so there is a chance they won't be a giant embarrassment like the rest of European teams. Ambition was invisible but maybe Samsung's plan was to just play it safe and wait for the laning phase to end. FNC vs GAM Broxah missed 2 out 3 important cocoons in the early game - first in the bot lane dive, then tried to gank kass mid and finally nailed one on flashless Lulu right after Soaz died top trying to 1v2 while 3 levels down. Bad luck or tilt, doesn't look too good. Both Soaz and Archie looked like they had no idea how to play from behind. Soaz deserves a lot of blame for being greedy instead of accepting his temporary worthlessness, but he was kind of left alone by his team too many times. Whole Fnatic had terrible macro. Could be because they were afraid of the Nocturne ult, but if they can't adapt to something like that, they should forget about getting out of the group. Marines are good, but I still think they should place last. SKT vs C9 Not much to say besides Faker is a god. There should be no surprises in this group. Edit: Nvm lol, AHQ has a chance and EDG is no longer a safe 2nd place bet.

I love how bad both EDG and AHQ (Westdoor) look. If C9 can't get out on their own merits, let's do it over the headless corpses of EDG and AHQ.

I think the idea of cheese in League is usually a meme but this is one of the few exceptions and I found it impressive as fk.

will watch gam next! Just watched skt, it's simply amazing just how much better they were than c9. The call to kill Huni, while losing an inhibitor was mindboggling. It felt like they already gave up at that point.

There's no way that was a reasonable response to 1 Maokai splitpushing.

![]() Love how many different playstyles we got this time around. LZ with their crazy top side of the map with the anchor bottom. SKT with normal pressure style while having a more aggressive tint. SSG with slow methodical rotation game. GAM with crazy balls to the walls anything to gain an advantage and put opponent off tilt. A bit sad all the EU teams lost their individuality since Huhi/RO Fnatic left and G2 became undisputed number 1.

You have to consider what was going to happen if they didn't go for it - 95% chance they're losing mid inhib anyway. At least by getting Maokai, you 1) get some kill gold; 2) prevent a second inhibitor from being taken; 3) maybe set up a 5v4 fight afterwards; 4) maybe bait SKT into making a mistake to come save Maokai; 5) get some mental satisfaction from a good ol' Maokai 4-man gangbang.
