Since then KR stayed more or less the same, EU was gutted a bit by NA, LPL is perhaps just as chaotic as before and NA perhaps is slightly stronger. And LMS seems on the same level.

Because Flash Wolves have improved drastically throughout the season?
Idk, still expect RNG to be 2nd unless they fumble in round robin to play T1 in semis, if G2 plays FW in bo5, I'd be extremely happy to watch though.
T1 16-0.

Supermassive will win.
Thaldrin best toplaner, imo.

That argument only works in NA. CLG have gotten dumpstered in every international tournament.
Plus, I mean, come on. T1 and RNG could play exactly as dumb as TSM and beat CLG with ease. TSM almost rolled over CLG's shenanigans and they dont have Faker, Bang, Mata or even Wuxx/Xiaohu

All I'll say is this: I was the only person in the NA LCS playoffs thread to predict that TSM would beat C9 and IMT in playoffs, citing their playoffs buffs which people quickly dismissed.
I'm not going to discount CLG right away. I think that if any of the major regions don't prepare for CLG because they see the team as a free win, they're going to be in for a surprise. The question is whether or not any team will actually go in complacent this year.

To lose when you're complacent on the international stage, the other team need to be at least close in skill.
CLG doesn't have anything to win internationally, their laners are weak, Xmithie is negated by way superior junglers and in general, most teams have a distinct playstyle, not the chaos "pls send help" one you have in nearly all North American teams.

Expecting RNG, FW, SKT T1 or G2 to choke against CLG is like uuuh. Yea.

Interesting. No team has 2nd place as most probable outcome. But g2 is closest

So Europe vs Taiwan vs China for who sucks the least.
I guess it can be fun.

How many times does China have to get BTFO'd before people stop expecting them to be 2nd?

Dunno, I'm kind of not hyped for this years MSI :< No competition for SKT at all.

Based on having watched only the LPL finals, I will predict that RNG will come in 2nd.

Would be better if we had top 2 teams from each region since the worlds pool seeding is supposed to reflect regional strength.
Then we'd be guaranteed some interesting games with KR vs KR, as well as seeing regional depth stack up, esp G2/OG having very different playstyles and AHQ dominating LMS only to have FW crazy playoffs buff.
I think G2 have a good chance to take 2nd since they're really well suited for the current meta, but I'm cheering for RNG because I'm still living in S2 when China was a good region.
