Huhi too heavy, CLG tunneled onto Raka for too long and didn't think to progress it to the next logical step of powerful ranged supports in the Nami, and Faker does Faker things.

I mean CLG over-performed even if they say they didn't. Darshan can't carry on tank champs, and shitty Duke TPs still mean that Duke shows up eventually and destroys people in the fight. Huhi's champion pool is so shallow, the fact that CLG could cover it up for this long is insane.

Edit: I think Monte or PapaSmithy said it during one of their VOD reviews, but for basically all of Spring Split all Huhi played was Corki and Ryze. He can't play Azir, was mediocre at best on Ekko, and was just terrible with Cassio. If CLG wants to use him for engage champs then stick him on Lissandra or something.

This was his first full season, he came in at IEM and played the second half of LCK all the way into MSI. That's a pretty big trial by fire.

SKT are probably relieved more than anything. There's never been a more dominant organization in all of esports.

Aphro, if you knew/expected Wolf to pull out Nami or Sona whenever you picked the Raka, then why not switch off the banana girl!?

Edit:

Wait... Everyone in the NA scene was pissing on CLG so much going into MSI that TLA was the only team willing to scrim vs. CLG and prepare them for the tournament?

never trust statistics you yourself have not handpicked or forged!

for me, this was the tournament where half the teams felt forced to play instead of taking a vacation (or in g2s case, they simply took the vacation xD) this MSI did only show how a warmed up SKT stomps everyone.

but lets see if NA LCS can really improve for worlds with all the preferable treatment compared to EU (Bo3 / timeslots / money / import players) until then, 2 semifinalists at worlds >>>>> one finalist at MSI.

Everyone else went to Korea to Bootcamp for Summer Split.

TSM, TL, IMT, and C9 are in Korea right now. I'm pretty sure even the lower level teams are, even like RNG.

Then why not go to Korea and boot camp with the other Korean teams or in Korean solo queue?

Edit:

I'm kinda surprised that winning MSI doesn't guarantee that the team/org who won it doesn't just automatically punch their ticket to Worlds. I feel like it would, or at least give the winning team some more championship points for their region.

Wolf really likes Sjokz, that's kinda cute, in a dorky sort of way.

Solo-queue, even korean soloqueue, would be worthless for scrimming tight team games.

I think at the end of the day, as long as you have a semi-competent scrim partner you are likely fine.

Its like in MMA, no one scrims guys who are the complete package, they usually scrim a couple people who are good at certain thing. One guy might have a similar striking style, one guy might have a similar wrestling style or ground game philosphy, one guy might push and pace himself similarly etc.

Literally every champion ever scrimmed people worse than the previous champion.

I thought faker was a lot more excited than the responses he gave for his questions about it. He rushed straight to the trophy as soon as he could.

Schedule a bit tight. LCK starts on 25th so SKT has about 1.5 week to study new meta and take a well deserved vacation. I hope they can manage.

boot camps are such a waste of money. Unless they plan on staying there for an extended period of time and do scrims with the Koreans nonstop and compete with them they will always be behind.

I'm getting tired of hearing how players go to Korea for a month and two. It's an experience but not enough.

Because last season has anything to do with this season. Europe is shit right now and if anything na teams will be better next spilt.
