I guess it can be fun. ...vs NA. CLG might be less likely to do well but I would not count them out. Also the fight for 4/5 is actually pretty important because top 4 get that worlds top seed.

Warmly waiting 4.5 hours for NA to lose to meme region that probably doesn't even give a single fuck about international competition.
Looking forward to this.
Kicking off with CLG v. RNG should be pretty interesting to watch. See if LPL can reignite that S3/S4 magic instead of the never forget LGD fiasco.

SKT RNG CLG FW G2 Sup
EDIT: Is 2.5 hours the estimated start time for the first game or for whatever opening ceremony they do?
Pleeease dont do opening ceremonies, it's not world championship
You know they're going to do opening ceremonies of some sort. I'd guess the game's starting 45 mins after time posted.
the estimated start time on the TL calendar is with a 30m allotment for the intro, so it may or may not be accurate, but it should be within 15 min unless the opening is ungodly long.
the in-client schedule lists the opening ceremony with game 1 having a separate time which matches up to TL calendar so I assume 30 min is the intended length and the games will start nearish to the TL countdown.
if CLG does manage to land top 3 tho, this thread could be renamed to TL Hall of Bitches.
EDIT: Not sure who came up the genius idea of a 30 minute intro? Is it that long in traditional sports as well? Hope they dont discover technical issues only after intro ends.
who the fuck is the dude next to Xmithe?
At least it's Riot's event so the downtime shouldn't be as long as at IEMs
a Major league baseball game, of which there are 160 of a year start ~15 min(generally just announce starting lineups, first pitch + national anthem) after the listed ticket time, so in America it isn't that weird for a major tournament to 30.
CLG and Moe Moe Wolves <3
the guy in CLG w/mustache is BAsed Yoona I think

empty seats and no crowd cheers at all lol (could be riot audio not picking it up though)
e: LOL ok only crowd cheers when RNG appears.
American sports will have a 30-60 minute pre-game show before big games. They're mostly analysts talking about the game. Super Bowl and other championship games have extra ceremony.
Most of the ceremonies are reserved for half times. Former players recognized, cheerleaders, bands, some drunk guy trying to hit a shot he'll never make for some money or just honoring an individual is normally kept in half time.

LMAO you cant even see faker - too short
