For the record, I criticize Chinese Dota a lot but have never thought that they were a joke. When I brought up the issue with new talent in their scene back in 2013, I was responding to the idea that China was going to become the "Korean SC 2 of Dota 2." But even then I was trying to bring attention to a problem I see in their scene, rather than saying that the scene was terrible. And these days I have a lot more respect for China in Dota regardless of what I say at times, simply because they obviously don't have the player population to compete with the West, but are still posting decent results.

Chinese LoL, though... It's a joke how bad this scene is despite all the advantages and money.
