But even then I was trying to bring attention to a problem I see in their scene, rather than saying that the scene was terrible. And these days I have a lot more respect for China in Dota regardless of what I say at times, simply because they obviously don't have the player population to compete with the West, but are still posting decent results.
Chinese LoL, though... It's a joke how bad this scene is despite all the advantages and money. Ok this sentiment I find much more agreeable. Although I do think the level of league everywhere is kind of shit. Don't really know why teams feel so bad. Maybe just because we had SSW last year that looking at league this year feels hollow. At least we get CDEC. It's funny how Dota scene is getting new blood in it at a much faster rate then League scene is. Just all recycled pro players constantly instead of new players. LCS league format may be the reason. I think LoL has less new talent simply because of the import situation. Teams are currently investing in Korean/European imports rather than developing new players. Dota has a bunch of NA/EU hyrbid teams though. I guess they aren't quite the same as the import situation in league. That's also a bit funny. In Dota NA/EU hybrid teams have been around for years yet in League they rather isolated scenes. Dota doesn't have the official team situation in LCS where new teams only have one opportunity to qualify for "the money" every season. Second/third-tier teams in Dota are able to join a lot of tournaments and to play against top teams in official matches that way. The barrier of entry is a lot lower, therefore, for new teams in Dota than it is in LoL. Yea I get it. Do you think LCS kind of kills the potential in league? Sure it's good for building money and viewership but for the actual skill level doesn't it seem to do the opposite? EDG in trouble here. Kassa may be nice in lane but I just don't see the point of it in a comp. I think LCS, combined with the current policy of imports, kills new talent in league. I don't think it kills the scene because, obviously, viewership in LoL is actually > Dota across the board. League has a lot more players though obviously it will have more viewers.

Don't know but let them keep going until LCS becomes better than LCK

There are actually two paths.
1. Import LMS for the free, native spots 2. Wait for another year so Korean spots become native spots, then import more Koreans.

Yes, but Dota viewership is an even smaller % of its player base than LoL.

There is no option 2 outside of LCS iirc

I heard from an episode of (iirc) China Talk or Summoning Insight that LPL can. If you play for LPL for 2 years you can get more imports.
Someone probably should double check on this though. I could be wrong.
