they did
I assume the schedule is the way it is because its a decent enough time for the rest of the world, and if people want to see the 8am match they'll wake up for it. And most people won't go back to sleep/miss the other games if you bothered to get up for it

2014 was 59 champions played total, this year we're up to 54 so far.

Not yet, but from the looks of it, it's going to be an SKT vs EDG final.

Even if EDG wins, the statement "Koreans win Worlds" would still be accurate.

Season 1: 0 Koreans Season 2: 10 Koreans Season 3: 15 Koreans Season 4: 18 Koreans Season 5: 25 Koreans

Not the greatest comparison considering that S1 had no KR teams, S2 had 2, and S3 had 3. Only S4 S5 can be compared, because it's still 3 KR teams but lots of export talent in other regions.

FNC chose that fight that Huni couldn't port to and there was no reason for them to do so.
Fnatic had wards in river, why coldn't Huni port?
But what happened was that they got a free kill on Tahm Kench and afterwards I am sure that Fnatic expected that AHQ would retreat, however Febiven retreated the wrong way and got caught and had to zhonya. However, had Huni tele'ed ASAP in the river I think they could have won the engagement.
With regards to the baron calls, I think that can work - if you are better at teamfighting - as long as you have a composition that can deal well with the enemy team. However, the Jinx/Tahm Kench/Gnar combo was quite difficult to deal with.

What's to look forward to today? Curious as to whether FW will start NL or Kkramer after showing the Varus comp last game, and if C9 will be given Tristana / Origen given Kalista again. There's the potential for groups A & B to end up with three teams on 2-1, which would make things spicy for the coaching/support staff going into the second week.

I think all the games look really good.

yep today is looking good except the last game.
I kinda hope that LGD stops sucking and finish TSM in 20 mins.

Well today has been an interesting day so far...
time to see what Worlds brings.

Lets put on a wild accumulator. LGD, Origen, C9, CLG, YFW to win @ 35:1 Not the greatest odds, but fuck it.

LGD should win. But I do think Imp could be tilted though. TSM needs to win the draft and I think they will be ok.
As for the discussion on Darius, he probably is hyped by the players by how he wrecks solo que. But this tends of happen because if your opponent is not a top lane main they will get destroyed and sometimes counterpick themselves in my experience. In competitive I think it only works as a suppressive pick. If you get darius they enemy won't get malp, yasuo, riven, jax among others. Which is good if your top laner was weak at laning. Still should probably fall to 3/4 on red side and definitely not first pick on blu.

I have a pretty good feeling TSM vs. LGD is gonna be a 40+ minute game.

TSM vs LGD will be interesting. Big mismatches across all lanes. Bjergsen should dumpster Gold V, while the other lanes are heavily LGD favoured. I expect some good TSM early game, getting a slight lead followed by awful midgame decisions on both sides and in the end Imp will carry it home in a +40min game.
Am I the only one, who finds it mildly funny, how Thorin and Monte were shitting and laughing at the lolesports top 20 rankings and now 3 days in their ranking couldnt be off more. Remember Thorin had GodV as the third best player of the whole tournament. That guy got now schooled around by Peke and Nagne, failing skillshots and flashes left and right and looks like one of the weakest midlaners in the tournament. The best player of any western team by far was supposed to be Huni according to Thorin. Huni now basicaly lost Fnatic their game alone, while Peke, Sneaky, DL, Inca and Febiven are all performing really really well.

I think GODV will play a lot better vs TSM since Santorin has no presence

It's not like the original top 20 list didn't have GOLDV up that high. He was 3rd behind Imp and Faker. And piccaboo has played remarkably so far and he's not highly placed. Huni is also way too high.
