Sure you could argue that TSM played really well and they deserve some recognition for it but those teamfights man, especially Hai with his ult.

Team Liquid is widely viewed as being at the top of the 2nd tier and if a few things go right for them, they'll make worlds and might even be able to challenge the top 2 teams for NA supremacy. There are good reasons to think this. Their top laner, Quas, is very good and one of the best top laner's in NA. He prefers bruiser and carry style top laners, so he didn't really get to show what he could do last season as the meta was dominated by tanks. Now that the meta is trending toward champions that he plays well, we should be able to see him improve. Their Jungler, I Will Dominate, is one of the 3 or 4 best junglers in NA. Their mid laner, Fenix, is a bit of a Wild Card. He was a decent to above average top laner in Korea, is young, and has strong mechanics. It's too soon to tell how his transition to mid lane and his move to America will affect his performance. Their ADC, Piglet, didn't play today, but was a Season 3 World Champion. His play fell off last year in Korea though, and no one knows if it was just a slump, or if his play has really taken a nosedive. Their support, Xspecial, is always brought up when people discuss who the best support in NA is. My opinion on him, and I'm not sure how popular this opinion is, is that he's merely average to above average in the laning phase, but is one of the 5 or 6 best supports in the world once the game gets to the teamfight phase. As a support main, he's been my favorite player for a few years now. Yesterday, Team Liquid played an unusual team composition. It was a protect-the-carry comp. Basically, you pick an ADC champion who does hyper damage late game, and pick a bunch of other champions who either buff the ADC or are tanky and have crowd control in order to keep the enemy from picking off the hyper damage ADC and basically let him do most of the damage and shred the enemy team. The comp itself isn't unusual, it's nearly as old as the League itself. What was unusual was that they chose the comp despite having a substitute in the ADC role. The fact that it worked and they won the game should do nothing but give confidence to Team Liquid fans as they move along in the LCS.

It wasn't the best game these two have played, imo, that would be Game 2 of the NALCS tournement last season. Though sloppy in spots, the game today did nothing to challenge the notion that TSM and C9 are still the class of NA.

Not to mention that Cop never looked as good as when they laned together.

I think, again just personal opinion, that Aphromoo, Lemonnation are better than Xpecial in the laning phase and neither one of them (especially not lemon) hold a candle to Xpecial beyond the laning phase. Also, apologies for not making it clear, but I was comparing him in this case to the world, not just NA specifically. I think very highly of Xpecial and think he's one of the very few truly World Class players that NA has.

I'm pretty sure that Xpecial is a well-above-average support, and challenger for best in NA (I also really like Aphromoo, and I'm on the fence with Lustboy and Lemonation).
