Edit: Also, if you have teleport lategame, and can afford having a squishy build, backing out and teleporting in, it's probably the single best use of teleport if you don't have anything to splitpush anyway. | ||

True, it just takes waaaay longer to get and until you complete it, it does less. Edit: remember that he did not build glacial first, but rather the pure armor items. | ||

Last 3 big fights he had to back, TP back in and carry on. Dont forget he got out lucky 3 times on < 20% hp | ||

It's not like he hasn't noticed the mass AP thing he just priorities damage over defense which is an arguable stance for him to take. I mean are we going to start criticising Kog-Maw for not rushing Spirit Visage? | ||

You could even (for the sake of argument) go for SV and 2 mana crystals for the same damage that FH gives, but with a better build path, more tankiness and the (argueably) better passive. | ||

He build a hybrid item that leaned more on damage side against this comp than defense side. SV is the same but leans more to defensive side. | ||

Ryze is an engager / catcher / blocker for Kog , while Kog just shoots from a safe distance. What Ryze did was try and capitalize on a hook or bad positioning from the other team, they put him near the frontline. Near the frontline you will take damage, and magicdamage was pretty much all the damage they did. The CDR you get from both items, you can cross that out, leaves armor + mana or healing + MR. Healing with his ult on in teamfights + mitigating magicdamage is waaay stronger then the manacrystal in that formula. The frozenheart has just too many wasted stats on Ryze vs that team, the armor and attackspeedreduction are fine, but just not there. Again my previous statement, you cant do damage when you are dead. If you can heal for that much more and take that much less damage, its so much better than the 'damageitem'. Even IF he wanted to get more raw damage, voidstaff would have been a good choice there. | ||
