Keep the rage to a minimum. This includes wait times between games, music, and balance.
Fair warning to all. |

They've been under some extreme pressure given how well the International 2 went off and I think went too fast trying to "outdo" it in every way. Some more of the prize money definitely should have been put into production expenses and more consulting with companies like OGN and MLG or some Hollywood showmen about how do events without a hitch.
But regardless of what they should have done, it's really just plain bad luck that things worked out this horribly wrong. Really hoping that they'll produce the finals at a much higher level (now that they have more game content and a ton of experience and feedback) and get an event that at least rivals the Internaional 2 Conveniently enough Hollywood showmen failed to provide enough bandwidth for Stewart vs Oreilly on the same exact day. You just can't prepare for things like that.

Oh lol, I would kill myself in anticipation for a fight.

Are there any VODs? I fell asleep

I dont mind that there is no soundproof booths, but was I mind is that they can peak behind their back and see the screen. In addition the Headsets should cancel to 100% outside noises. If you dont have booth you should eliminate that possibility. Then it's just dumb; what does it mean "because then the teams are isolated from the crowd"? There's a time for competition and a time for fan-meetings and so and so forth. Should fans be allowed to mob around players then? This is the quarter finals, not one of dozens of group stage and open bracket matches.

Yep. There was a point when the crowd was so thirsty for action they literally cheered over a ward kill, at was nearly at that point I realized putting off the other half of my errands was not acceptable.

Don't get me wrong, Djwheat, deman, and jatt are fine. But what I'd like is casters that can really hype you up during the game, and who can do proper analysis of a game after the game ends. Kind of like tasteless and artosis of LoL. If they can't find people who can do both, just make 2 groups, 1 for the game, 1 for the post/pre game
And they NEED soundproof booths. They're still with the audience. It's not like soundproof booths have 4 solid walls. You can still see in/out of them lol....
And LAN. Like wtf. LAN is so fucking important for esports it's not even funny. No lag, no internet issues, nothing. Just straight up playing the game. That's what you need. It eliminates as much outside factors as possible.
|
Probs not, game never finished they're going to have to replay it at a later time. Also Jatt did fine yeah, I liked the part where he said ryze was really slow at lvl1. Not like pretty much any ryze has 400ms @ lvl1 or anything, nope.

I don't know how you prioritize "interaction" in this case over balanced competition in this case, when there's a million dollars on the line.
You think the crowd chanting "CLG" or "TSM" doesn't get into the other teams' head and affect their mental state? For all the talk a few days ago about providing a fair chance to lesser known/less popular team, this is one thing that clearly helps popular teams and hurts unpopular ones.

Hm? 3rd game did not finish? Same problem? Internet issues?

Feel pretty bad fro Riot, I mean they make a free game, a free tournament with great price pool and a quality stream with the best teams in the world and this happens. Anyway hope this whole mess can be solved somehow without major problems...

As much as we might not like it, the comparison is inevitable.
As Dustin Beck might say, Valve has "raised the bar to where it belongs".

Does valve steam DotA2 in HD as well? Just wondering, I don't really watch it.

Honestly, this is just out of riot's reach. They couldn't foresee the internet problems, atleast they made the right decision to postpone instead of trying to play with a shitty connection. Ofcourse Lan would be the best, but Riot isn't the only who needs to fix their game up with a LAN function lolol.

They also had in client broadcasts, with tons of people watching, and in client broadcasts take fractions the bandwidth livestreaming does. That eases a lot of the load because for every one person watching at 720p you could probably have 10+ people watching in client without issues/

The saddest point of it is that all this thing has gotten a lot of people to pitchfork about everything, now there's a witch-hunt to azubu frost for "peeking" at the main screen during the game 2 pause, (wich acording to chaox in this video) caused TSM to lose (Good joke TSM, you sure had it...)

But seriously, wtb booths Riot. Sun and all is nice... but we (players and live fans alike) would benefit more from a hall like TI2. ;;

it's not that bad for Riot
if everything ends well, people will care a lot less about the regames and Internet connectivity issues
