Keep the rage to a minimum. This includes wait times between games, music, and balance.
Fair warning to all. |

Seems to me from group 1 that games at the moment are down to which team doesn't throw, rather than which team is better. Frost seemed to win because the other teams just handed them victory and they were doing well enough to just take it. Woong didn't look great and if one of the top supports can outplay madlife, they're going to get mashed. I honestly think TSM can beat Frost but it's just a case of whether they do or not (that sounds stupid but you know what I mean). It seems to me that as soon as Frost come up against a team that doesn't hand them the win, their weaknesses are going to be glaring. It's up to the team to beat Frost, rather than have Frost beat themselves.
As for the other games, it's the same story. Unless CLG EU (note, I didn't see Group 2) throw like they did at The Champions final, they'll have their way with WE. M5 I would give the edge to against invictus but damn is that game going to be fun to watch. Nanjin and TPA I have no idea about but from what I know, Nanjin should be fine.
All of these games are awesome though. What an amazing set of quarter finals. I just hope we get a nice balance of finalists (ie, not 4xAsian) so we can continue to see this clash of servers..
Side note - How do VoDs work for this? I'm going out tonight and won't be back until the TSM/Frost match and if the games I missed are awesome I'll want to check them out.

I wonder what CLGna's excuse will be next time they lose a tourney. That hotshot's gf didn't give the whole team bj's beforehand so they didn't have the confidence to perform? Maybe the bean burrito voyboy ate the day before came back to haunt him and ruined his concentration. Or Dlift got a papercut opening fan mail so couldn't micro properly. Ohhhh the humanity.

Twitch automatically makes vods when content is still being streamed. Just use common sense when looking at starting time & running time to see what vod is the one you want, because it's not always named properly.

This might be the best post in the whole topic. Well played sir for making colleagues look weird at my when I laugh-sprayed coffee over my keyboard. Well played

Skimmed a bit through group B but it went as expected. Though there have been some pretty good matches in the group stages (especially the opening frost vs ig was very entertaining to watch) I think the "real" tournament starts tonight. The 4 quarterfinals matchups are about as good as it gets; lots of cross server matches and all teams looking like they have a fighting chance. Let's just hope skarner gets perma-banned 'cus that must be the most boring jungler to watch (except for maybe like warwick but fat chance we'll see him)

any matches in particular through the group stage that were just "wtf" or "omg" plays? Just got home and keen to watch the interesting ones....Or just wait for TSM/M5 matches tommorrow as there usually the most entertaining.

If you had to pick 2, watch Frost vs. iG and CLG vs. SK.

So apparently CLG EU(together with WE) got fucked in the bracket stage because the winner has to play immidiately after, where as the rest of the teams get to rest til the next day.

If Riot doesn't fuck up the format, the winner of Quarterfinal 4 will play in Semifinal 2, so they at least get a break in between.
If they actually make the QF 4 winner play in SF 1, then they royally screwed up.

Not really screwed, they are on the side of the bracket that gets the later semi finals. Which is roughly four hours after they play that match. Where as the winner of Frost/TSM have to spend the night not knowing who they play. Where as the winner of CLG/WE have all night to prepare for their next opponent if they would like to think that far ahead. Solid warmup game too for them, better than a possible scrim with one of the already eliminated or ranked.
Nobody is getting screwed, Riot actually made it work.

A very dangerous mindset; to just assume that EU are going to even make it past WE. Regardless of their chances, this is absolutely not how they should approach the quarters. I'd say things are even as far as advantages go...
Frost/TSM get to see what their up against, CLG/WE have the momentum from their win carrying them forward

I've never played LoL so I didnt bother watching because I have no idea even about basic info so was curious how do you compare this event to the TI2 of Dota ?
Pls some objective comparation who have watched both. I dont wanna start flamewar about which game is better because some love LoL other love Dota 2 and some probably love both. Just curious about the the level of production and quality of games and all that info.
