Zilean honestly depends on the player and not the team. I have played Zilean alot as he is my favorite champion, and has been ever since I bought him - my goto champion whenever I get a team composition he fits in - in arams I have a 100% win ratio with him since all fights are basically 6v5 and in a prolonged fight you can get off a second ultimate turning it in to a "7v5" in essence. He is truely and utterly rediculous in arams and should basically be in an "utterly baaah-rokenly good" tier alongside Janna and Alistar. Never reroll always win unless enemy has more of the trinity. | ||

Zilean might also be suffering from disuse. He hasn't really seen competitive play in a long, long time, so like a few other champions most people probably don't really know how to play him well. Evelynn is gold because she brings very little to the early game, and has issues against tanky compositions. She can be devastating in the right hands/situation, but that's true of too many champions for it to really make her stand out. | ||

I can say it depends on the player and the comp, seeing how horrible I did :D. Ignoring the rewind before bomb mistakes and completely forgetting I could E enemies until 20m into the game, early game bomb harass is verry dependant on lineups (getting in range for a rotation is risky vs a lot of champs, and spammable shields cut down his damage a lot). Ult also needs a decent target to be useful. | ||

Athene's is also a personal choice because I really like having max CDR on Eve one way or another and it greatly helps accomplish that while also giving a bit of AP and good MR Really I think she's amazing, I believe I've won all my games with her that go beyond her weak early game. edit: sorry if i come off as rough | ||

Here's my Soraka guide: Starting Items: Chalice + Boots + Health Potions Priority Items: Athene's Unholy Grail, Frozen Heart Runes: MPen, AR, MR, AP/MS Masteries: 9/21/0 Skill Order: WWE, then R > W > Q > E Example end-game build: Sorc/Merc Boots, Grail, Frozen Heart, Rylai's, Liandry's, (insert one defensive item of your choice). First of all, like Montegomery mentioned, you should never play a support champion like a support champion due to all the passive farm you get. However, AP Soraka on summoner's rift has long been suffering from her weak early game, her squishiness, and heavy dependence on items. Not on ARAM my friend! You will be getting tons of farms in ARAM and by maxing W first you will have a relatively easy early game that allows you to transition into an unstoppable annoyance on the opposing team (don't max Q first, because the range is too low and you will lose out on the poke war). Remember to play Soraka like an AP off-tank. Her Q does a lot of damage, but only if you can keep yourself alive to stack the MR debuff. Also her W's AP ratio is rather low to justify a high AP build. Therefore, invest heavily on resistance and health with a couple of "damage" items only. Also CDR is extremely important on her and you should try to hit the cap ASAP. Do not build Tear, and definitely do not build dcap for the love of god. In teamfights, charge into the enemy team and start pressing Q like crazy. With maximized CDR and Rylai's, you can keep an entire team slowed while you keep spamming Q and be 100% more annoying. If you are focused, W yourself for a huge armor boost and press R to panic. Be very careful against Ignite (very few people run Ignites, but if someone does you should keep a timer) because it will fuck you up really hard. | ||

If you're getting pretty big Deathcaps not really a totally awful buy either truthfully | ||
