I think ADC is definitely the best way to carry a game, unless you're an AP that happens to be incredibly suited to ARAM. I even went AD on Fiddle once, it still worked pretty well.

I've always started Grez's Spectral Lantern (its pretty cost effective, feels strong, and the active reveal is good even if there's no stealth champs on the enemy team). Then I just get Bilgewater/boots, IE/PD, Bork.

I feel like the best way to start an ADC build is with attack damage, because AS only gives higher DPS in sustained fire, and early on you only get the opportunity for single shots.

I find LS quints to be enough LS, and Sanguine Blade is only cost efficient on sustained fire anyway, so I therefore always go IE first.

Can't wait for the remaining guides to be put up, they're invaluable when one randoms a new champ.

I've had good success opening dblade + vamp scepter + 2 pots on adcs, I try to get enough for zerks and BF sword by my first back/death.

Are there any champs worth getting the Kitae's Bloodrazor item on? Botrk and Wits End both seem like better buys in pretty much all situations...

Seconding the Grez's Lantern start. With pots and LS quints your sustain is insane. Which is crucial pre 6. The passive also helps with farming minions. Also the early bush control it provides is paramount.

ahhh don't waste a Fiddle roll on AD QQ . His ult is like the best thing in aram and you fear the other team carry 24/7 (ok.. fear still work even if you're ad but still :o)

Random thought: What do you guys think of the Reduced Death Timer Quints on ARAM (-5% death timer per quint)?

With the defensive mastery, you can shave 25% off your death timer. In ARAM, not only are you dying a lot, but and a good push involves taking a tower, dying, and hoping to be up fast enough to defend your own towers. Thoughts?

I think it's significantly less powerful if you are the only one on your team doing this. Also, those games that go to 45-50min the respawn on a wiped team will still be long enough for the other team to take nexus. I dont have anything else to spend IP on though so I will give it a shot and report back.

AP Fiddle is really good, but you need some help from your team. AD Fiddle definitely isn't as strong, but its incredibly self-dependent. You can still spam E all day, and you can ult in and kite backwards while doing double-massive damage. You can't be 1v1'd ever.

I can imagine Crittlesticks being pretty strong in ARAM, in the right circumstances. :>

Meh I still think his ult is way to strong to pass on it. Specially if you have someone else in your team to combo it (mumu, ori, etc.) the other team just melt.

(edit.. yeah 5000 post )

I do exactly the same as you. AD champ -> Grez, ranged AP champ -> Grez and build AD since everyone else is going to build AP 100% guaranteed

I've carried hard with AD janna, annie, fiddle, and zilean LOL

Don't forget that Kitae's Bloodrazor is available in ARAMs, which is basically a baby version of Bork. (No active, no lifesteal). If I'm behind I'll get this instead of a Bork, if I'm ahead, I'll stack it with Bork.

Also, Bloodrazor deals a % of the target's MAXIMUM health, and Bork deals a % of the targets CURRENT health, a difference that is powerful and often overlooked.

The active on botrk is too good to pass up. Bloodrazor is also magic damage instead of physical

There is an ARAM tournament going on right now, in Taiwan I think: http://www.twitch.tv/egamerstw

They do draft with bans like a normal game. Should be interesting.

Maybe it's because I'm a lower level player, but Runaan's seems far too good to not get on an AD carry on this map. Alternatively SS, or even both. RH/SS/BotRK is kind of silly strong, in my experience, especially with someone like Ashe.

I don't think I've ever gotten Runaan's on an ad carry in ARAM, there's always something that I need more. You have to assume that you aren't going to have the opportunity to just stand there autoing the enemy team, and that's basically all that Runaans is good for (and the little Runaans ball next to your champ will put an even bigger target on your back). It won't help you poke or kite, aside from some extra lifesteal that you might get from nearby minions. You need every attack to do as much damage as possible. IE+LW+ PD/SS is pretty much core on all ad carrys to maximize damage output, for some you can swap in a BotRK or Sanguine blade but there's not much room to squeeze in a Runaans.

Monte, where art thou? I think he may have gotten writer's block when he saw that Lissandra is next in the mini-guide list...

Runaans is actually pretty good if you have an adc with good range such as Varus, Trist, or Cait. Especially if they have on-hit going on (Varus, Botrk).

The issue is that it is a "win-more" item. If you are in a position where buying it wont set you back, you are either winning or doing very well. This items NEEDS a few on hit or dmg items first to make it worth buying. But I do think it is a good item if you are ahead.

On a side note, does it work on Thresh?
