Two strategies for rune buying:
1. Buy one or two full pages of tier 1 runes. They're really cheap and give you a reasonable boost. Fill your pages as you go.
2. Save up all your IP for tier 3 runes. Buy them as soon as possible. (level 20? 21?)

After you hit 20, then you can start buying Tier 3 runes and building rune pages that are maximized in slot efficiency for level 30.

Hold off on runes until T2, then you can combine for T3's. It'll make life a lot easier, and when you combine is chances are you'll get a handful that you can use.

Choose one (preferably a good one) and stick to that one for at least 10 games, unless you really hate him (but then don't choose him). I would suggest longer, but people get bored. Try to play with a limited champion pool instead of a gigantic one, that is the best way to improve because you actually learn what that champion is capable of and how he works.


is the queue really that long pre 30?
I just got my smurf to 30 recently and I remember always having short queue times despite winning ~90% of all my games.
Eventually I was playing against all plats/golds as a level 20 something with bronze and <30's on my team.


A friend of mine who is ~ dia 1 level recently levelled a smurf to learn additional roles, and got pretty consistent 10+ minute waiting times for quite a while. At some point the system thinks you are eligible to play with 30s, then it gets better again, but before that it can be really annoying.

If you win enough yes + you also get matched with people with full runes/masteries which can be quite difficult even as a smurf.
To lvl to 30 the best strategy is actually to lose every now and then, which kindof sucks

You really should buy T1 runes. It's frustrating to have 0 runes for 20 levels. I recommend buying these runes to fill your 2 rune pages:

AD red
MPen red
Armor yellow
flat MR blue

Also, this gives you 24 T1 runes, which is only 3 away from making a T3 rune (27 total). The above T1 runes are VERY cheap, and you actually SAVE IP by making a T3 rune this way, especially if you get one of the more expensive ones. Of course, you could get a totally useless one, but I think the 19 levels of usage, plus the risk-reward of getting a T3 rune, is heavily in favor of buying T1 runes. (Stat wise, T1 runes provide half the T3 stats for only ~5% of the price.)

Leona's passive is triggered by any kind of damage, so it would be a bug if it didn't work with tiamat.

No it doesn't apply Leona passive. If someone else does dmg with tiamat on a target that has Leona's passive applied then it does trigger the passive.

Really noob question, but do jungle camps only do physical damage ? Never cared much about jungle, but with the new season it seems jungle has the most influence / being able to carry the hardest. I think I only have mr blues. Mostly about Kha jungle. Should I keep the mr blues ?

no jungle creeps only do physical but yes you usually should keep magic resist runes (optional scaling MR) because most junglers tend to gank (ofc if they play 5 ad MR is not needed) The none magicresist/ap blue runes are quite inefficient

Jungle creeps only do physical damage. Most junglers get scaling magic resist because the chance of dying to mids during your ganks pre-9 is not high enough to warrant flat mr glyphs.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

I dislike magic resistance runes on junglers, you can probably get almost equivalent amount of survivability against Magic dmg with extra gold and exp you can aquire with flat AP or flat CDR on almost all junglers. Not to mention the advantages it has against physical dmg dealing enemies.

Also, if you don't fight at full hp due to farming before, the extra AP or CDR might make you take 1 less autohit from the jungle creep, which can almost or more than compensate for the low Mres

What? No, not at all. T2 runes are way less efficient in terms of stats/IP, and your first IP are pretty valuable since champs and runes (and rune pages) are so expensive. If you want some runes for the stats, you can go with T1 runes that you'll combine later in hopes of getting something decent (the odds of AD glyphs or MR seals or stuff like that are rather high though), it'll cost you way less IP than going for T2 and you'll get almost the same stats out of it.
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

On average do different roles take disproportionate types of damage? i.e. does a tank take a higher ratio of physical to magic damage than say an adc? The logic being that tanks are often the focus of the enemy adc and may be peeled by bruisers (commonly physical dmg), while adcs often get focused by long range nukers/assassins (which are typically magic dmg, save for a few AD assassins). I understand it really depends on the enemy team comp, but is there any consensus on an "in general" standard in this regard?
I got nothin'...
