Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here.

Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

On a second thought, I'm actually glad I didn't get beta on 1st wave. Protoss looks incredibly weak. Warp-in is slower, Naniwa says blink doesn't work properly, colossus is nerfed, immortal is nerfed, etc. Disruptor is the only "OP" unit.

Rotterdam just showed off the new Carriers, and they do insane DPS. The terran had quite a few vikings, and he had 6-8 carriers (I'm not sure if it would have been enough vikings to kill the old carriers, I think so but its hard to tell when the vikings clump up) and the carriers absolutely smashed everything the terran had without losing much at all. Obviously the problem is still getting to that point, and this terran wasn't as prepared for them as he could be, but they look very strong and the increased movement speed helps a lot as well.

Protoss suffers from the economy changes most and then there are the warp-in changes on top of that. They can't be expected to do well at first, unless the adept is powerful enough to make up for it (as an early game unit).

Damn I just got home and was like "well at least I can play Hots" but NOPE HotS ladder is offline WTF BLIZZARD

Nah I wish that would work :/ Was just joking around. HotS ladder is broken atm so I can't even play that.

Way too spamable, mostly used for zoning/dmg , ravagers are massed.
Pretty much what i expected

Yeah I'm not a fan of massed spell casters for any race. Do people like games with mass infestors or ravens or whatever? Just makes it seem really bland to me and usually too strong

I like the concept of the unit, but stats are pretty strange and need tweaking. Ravager is huge, probably the biggest unit Zerg has after Ultralisk and yet it has less HP than a Roach. It has almost same attack speed as Hydralisk and it has 16 damage, 6 range and it has very solid movement speed.
Even though they are maybe too big, I like that because the unit isn't supposed to be massable and that is probably the reason of their why they are that big but on the contrary they have made it into a super good fighting unit.

I really like the idea of having 4-8 Ravagers with your army of Roaches/Hydras/Lings to destroy Force Fields, zone out opponent's army, destroy Siege Tanks and bust some defense but right now people are just making Ravagers are Roaches and are doing more than fine with that, and that's pretty bad in my opinion.

Infestors and Ravens at least aren't units with autoattacks :D The Ravager combines both aspects though, which makes it even worse imo.

Well i am excited that blizzard wants to give zerg an option to break forcefields, the current implementation is horrible though imo.

There is now audio feedback when you push a button in LotV. I have always wanted this. BW has it, and the feedback just feels good.

Details matter in SC2. Blizzard needs to pay attention to more of these. This is a good start. Thank you.
