Tried Cinderhulk on Olaf.
Garbage, 0/10, will use Warrior from now on. The aura doesn't really make your clear faster, and its damage is negligible (especially later in the game, if you're in range for it to matter it usually means you're chaining axes), while Warrior's AD means a lot for chain-axing people down during the early-midgame, and the CDR is nice.
I had 130 more HP (so around 400 including the item?) in the midgame, which I didn't need since it's when I'm strong, and ~550 more total in the late game, where it means jack shit since I had around 4k HP total and living a bit longer doesn't accomplish anything when you lack of damage or peeling makes you ignorable.
Gotta try to learn, but man was it frustrating. Then again the enemy team having Ezreal didn't help.

Most of the Olafs I've been looking at in soloqueue are played in the toplane and building into righteous glory then almost fulltank. It's really hard for Olaf to get tanky enough in the lategame to not blow up on a jungler's budget imo, and the pressure you put on your toplane opponent is pretty scary early on, which you can abuse into a couple of good tps to snowball the game.
Jungle Olaf can be strong but either you fall off because you build warriors, or you don't do as much as the other cc loaded junglers if you go cinderhulk. Feels suboptimal either way I think. But yeah, if I had to play him jungle, I'd go warriors and put the game on a 30 minutes timer.

Olaf's ganks from the top lane aren't as scary as others, and even on a top lane budget he won't grow tanky enough, because hard cc is damage mitigation (that scales really well), his sutain relies on him autoing stuff, and his only defensive steroid is a 30 armour/MR bonus that goes away when he ults.
I got a bunch of the kills and powerfarmed (got 3 blues, mid told me to keep the 2nd, and he died right as the 3rd spawned) so I was actually even/ahead of solo lanes on items, save for the Ezreal, and I ended with Cinderhulk/FH/Glory/Mercs/Thornmail/Randuin's (had Specter, swapped it for Randuin's because Renek/Vi/Ezreal is too mobile, one dash and I'm away from the axes zz). I still died ridiculously fast, and I certainly didn't live long enough to kill anyone if the enemy team used peel and basic arcane shifting away.
Anyway, Olaf (especially since the rework) is a midgame-spiking champion, and not lategame as preconceptions go (same as Nasus), so whatever you do you put the team on a timer.
Tried Trundle. Another fun champ with strong laning, less-than-optimal TP ganks (especially since Thresh exists) and the issue that despite his good damage, he's a melee sustained damage champ. I could 1v1/chase down anyone (despite not even managing to finish BotRK in the game, woulda needed it for low-health fight and chasing people down when there's a Sivir in the enemy team), maybe 1v2 with ult if there was a frontliner there, but I couldn't switch targets well (similarly to Olaf) and I ended up dropping 3 people to half health during the fight but without being able to properly peel, nor dive.
Still worth considering if the enemy team goes for Sion or Hecarim I assume (I'd say Gnar but meh, he'll rush cleaver and autowin the lane). Plus he can take a camp at level 1.

Chain slow and mass true damage is enough to make full tank jungle Olaf niche for sustained fights. Oddone plays him a lot and does decent. But it's definitely a suboptimal pick because mobility shuts him down hard. A lot like most of the second tier of junglers, they've all got one big meta flaw that keeps them under Sej/Grag/Rek'Sai/Eve.
Trundle looks good at a glance, but when you can only ult one tank and the enemy team has 2+ and kitey fuckers like Azir and Kalista, I think it's a pretty sad pick. He was big S4 because hyper carries, and the single top-lane tank was a thing while junglers were just heavy gankers and then aura/sight bots, rather than the 4k hp jungle tank laughing at your ult.

I don't know about you guys, but this new system has encouraged me to test the limits. I haven't gotten warned or chat restricted since the old tribunal was a thing. This time around, I'm just being as toxic and goofy as possible. Last game I did my best XJ-9 impersonation by berating the enemy Lee Sin as much as possible. The game was a complete shit show and we ended at like an hour long with 130 kills between the two teams. I really hope that game shows up in my case.

I also play with sound off, but there's a /command option that disables pings as well as chat, iirc. /ignore, maybe it was?

tiger vs pheonix udyr:
- ganks are the same, tiger gives you more AS but the AoE damages your opponent between your attacks.
- clearing is faster and safer with phoenix because you kill small creeps for free so they have less time to attack you
- scaling is better for tiger if you build dps items which you cannot afford in 90% of the games
So here is where tiger seems strong: When you snowball and build a dps item. This has the disadvantage of you feeding back your spree (tons of gold for the enemy) because you are not as tanky (for example a lane kept up in CS and is reasonably strong) as you could be and now you feel stupid because you get kited / focussed by a strong enemy and you don't have your tank core yet.
There is a basic misconception behind "when ahead" builds
"when ahead" builds are almost never optimal even when you are fed. You could have bought the same items as you would when you are behind or just doing ok + more of those. The builds you come up when you have less money than usual are in 99% better than anything else because you have to be cost efficient. The "when ahead" builds only work because you get away with a suboptimal build (sometimes).
Nunu and lee sin are easy examples to this. Since those are control junglers, an optimal build almost always has an early sightstone in them. You get fed and you think to yourself: well I'am gonna buy "offensive item X" instead because I'am ahead. Now you can't actually fullfill your role as a control jungler that well anymore. You can 1v1 better now but you don't have the tools to find those and instead of creating picks or forcing an advantageous fight with your team you get caught in the enemy jungle and feed back your spree to the enemy adc.

That's 100% on a case by case basis. Nunu and Lee Sin are kind of cherry-picked because their lategame is ass (ignoring Nunu's buff-and-peel-bot role) and they scale poorly. Rek'Sai, Olaf, Panth, a number of others, can easily go bruiser and be even more cost efficient if they get extra gold. Black Cleaver/Maw is insanely cost efficient once you finish them.
