Mathematically speaking, a case can be made for the promotions changes, as in despite the "BoX" system, you still need to win one game to reach it right after you fail 1-2 or 2-3 Essentially, after failing a promo you need to win the next one, then 2-1 or 3-2, which is still 3-1 or 4-2 overall. if you factor in the previous promotion failure you still get 4-3 or 6-5 (and then you can add the previous game needed to reach that promo series, etc.). In the long term, if you win over 50% of your games, you should theorically climb up. But the promos system means that in the short term you have to win between 75% or 66% of your games, which is very high and creates the obstacle (and if you don't win the game right after the promo failure you're back to the "get over 50%" stage anyway since you need to win once + the number of games you lose before you reach that number). If it didn't make winning streaks so crucial, it wouldn't be as frustrating, as a player experience. Of course if we still had Elo it wouldn't be needed in the first place. With their system you need to win 50% of your games after you've narrowly lost a promo series before (I think they require you to go 1-2 or 2-3 to give the free win? Forgot), so it's statistically not that bad if you've proven you had success before, I assume. However, yeah it does look "ugly" in a systemic way. | ||

Seriously though, the type of people who say GG easy when they win are probably the same people who whine and rage all game when they lose, ie emotionally immature teenagers who have not yet developed enough to understand the concept of sportsmanship or manners. I'm all for putting them on time-out until they learn how to act like adults. | ||

I just find it stupid that people are complaining when if they could read they knew Riot doesnt like this behavior. Thats the bottom line. In germany we have a nice saying which roughly translates to "Ignorance is no excuse in law." The law is in this case made by Riot | ||

On the other hand, I reported many of my teammates during the years for gg easy. It's even worse, when you know that the guy saying it not only sucked dick the whole game and had to be carried, but kept qq-ing and /ff-ing in teamchat. What is an 8-years old behaviour if not that? Which is basically you ggeasy-ers are doing; you either throw around some more insults to try to convince the rest of us, or say that you don't think it's a biggie. I'm just baffled how can people be this worked up when they get the memo that spitting others in the face is not something that feels good, not even on the internet, and the best you can come uo with is that you like spitting others in the face, so fuck them. To be honest, I'd probably more worried if guys like you wouldn't have crawled out with these views, because based on my (and probably everyone else's, though servers differ) experience, it would be rather unbelievable if only one guy would support gg easy-ing, given how many idiots you meet in this game on average. | ||

Lul at you even comparing those. "GG Easy" isn't even insulting or anything, it's just saying the match was easy(which it might have been). It's not "GG you were bad" or anything like that. A bigger problem are honestly premade botlanes who feed every single game and you get double report if you say anything, even if it's legitimate advice About the league change, I think that it's a good thing. It's pretty stupid that the entire promotion hinges on winning some Bo5 at that specific moment. You might get a very unlucky streak just at those times which delays it for much longer than necessary. IMO it should just promote you to the next rank when you receive enough LP to get there. | ||

Tbh, this whole thing is based on the anonimous playerbase. You'll likely never see the guy again. Nobody will ever know besides him. So what do you care about keeping any decorum at all? The better people know someone, the more socially acceptable they behave towards that person. | ||
