On the topic of the 1 Varus ultra Deft wiffed at worlds it was a gank attempt where heart showed earily and he should have given up but he tried to salvage it by flash ulting and getting egg on his face | ||

It's pretty much reserved for peeling the bruiser/tank off your carry. His full combo does pretty well vs tanks so it isn't a total waste. His Q is god like in team fights if you can land it though. 300 base damage, .8 ratio and a 3 second silence is pretty good. Too bad it's pretty much the hardest skill in the game to land. In pro play, his niche would probably be part of some non-stop push comp. Given he takes pretty much anyone in the game 1 on 1, just sit in lane and push like a beast. Which probably means he'd just be ganked non stop because he has no mobility and only one hard CC which CCs himself, thus ruining the whole idea. | ||

-he does great damage to tanks, but so does Vayne and she has the tools to peel for herself, while his are ok/long cd -he does mixed damage, MF does more -he becomes a monster in teamfights if your team gets the first kill, yea I'll take Jinx on that one too I guess if you want to compare him to Ashe I do like his ult better, I think it does more in a teamfight because the tenedrils give your opponent an extra variable to their positioning which is kinda a big deal, or if he has to use it for emergency peel it gets full duration/damage instead of reduced like Ashe. | ||

I don't have the math on me anymore, but I think it was somewhere around 70% of Varus' raw damage is physical in most reasonable resistance level. On top of that, being an ADC he builds Armor Pen while the only Magic Pen he has is from masteries. So after even just the base 30 everybody gets and nothing else, it's already reduced to under a quarter of his damage. In addition, his combos are very lackluster. What do you pop the stacks with? Q? You're most likely losing a lot of the charge damage to blow the stacks. E? You're sacrificing ultilty(the purpose for picking this champion.) R? Even more of a sacrifice than E. But yes, I agree. If we want to use Riot terminology, he has clearly defined strength and weaknesses but he's not actually strong in his strengths. | ||
