It seems to me like ER was meant to be another Grail, but was purposefully gimped under the guise of "making it stronger lategame." | ||

The argument is obviously why would you need the mana, but I think it could be useful to help you keep up your steroids close to 100% of the time which increases your damage by a lot. Something like ER + Ghostblade could be a good two item combo that gives you good DPS, sustain, and burst. | ||

Hell, make it build out of like sheen + pickaxe/bf and now some champs that get some cool early game use out of sheen can build something out of it. It can return the proc damage as mana. | ||

Or you could just get Brutalizer for the CDR and build your BF sword into something more useful. IE is fantastic on Draven and gives more damage than ER. BT also gives just as much damage as ER, but also gives survivability. ER gives... conditional mana regen. | ||
