the 150 mana and 40 ap per 1k gold invested is pretty useful for him as a support though. he may not be too powerful at level 1 but he will likely trade very well bot lane, if his on next attack ability is remotely like the spellblade passives in that you can actually use the auto before you cast the spell and still have the on hit apply. i pretty much see that or lich bane as a core item in his future.

tbh seeing that viktor update makes me think he's gonna be a good top lane bully (read cancer) with empored autos, area stun and move speed boost. Depending on his numbers he might be pretty op lategame with an ori ult on w and decent damage.

Na, even with the speed boost, he'll just die to anyone with a gap closer and assassins.
Zed already shits on him, Yasuo probably does too (sure he needs to stick to you, but with two shields he'll have more than enough HP to survive your ult), stuff like Irelia or Jax destroys him in an utterly one-sided manner (less so for Jax), etc.

At early levels Viktor is weaker, especially in terms of bullying. His numbers are almost halved for Q, the cd is longer, everything is magic, etc.
And by the time it becomes stronger these champions will smash you regardless.

I dunno how I feel about this. Seems like they are worried too much about him being to strong. It's funny that they just made QW augments start sticks too instead of actually giving them good utility. Kha can have good utility on evolves, but not Viktor.

Atleast Viktor has instant shields now. I do think he'll still bully kids, his autos will hit hard after Q and they can't really trade back with the shield. Sucks that it makes the whole auto magic damage though. Pretty big hit on an otherwise awesome ability.

They literally nerfed all his damage numbers. Edit: I lied, his ult actually does more damage, by a fair bit.

The silence was super awkward anyway. It was only 0.5 seconds so it was not overwhelmingly long. It was there pretty much to make Katarina feel bad about herself.

It barely helps. For most champions the 0.5 silence is an annoyance. It's not long enough to make a big difference.

It should be either lengthened or removed.

not that Fizz is a good match up for him anyway, but it keeps silences him just long enough to keep him from jumping out of your trap, i.e. Fizz Q's to you, you W>R him and you will get the stun.

Viktor's actually good versus Fizz because as long as you don't get in Q range he'll have to burn E to reach you, meaning W automatically stuns him.
You can also bully him early with Q and autos (play aggressive from level 1).
Sure he can dodge E with his own but unless you let him get on you for that it won't matter. And because he's melee, once you're done bullying him levels 1-3 you can just zone him under turret as long as you ward well, between W and E.

0.5 seconds can't keep Fizz in.

Viktor's W requires 1.5 seconds to stun, the silence is only 0.5 seconds.

It's a bit difference from Blitz whose 0.5 silence is enough for him to use an E.

Looking at the Viktor rework, I feel like his late game is going to be absolutely terrifying.

If he grabbed a Tear early he could do a build like Seraph + Deathcap + Void + Hex Core + Lich Bane. That and an elixir gives end game Viktor 923 AP.

You put CDR boots and CDR glyphs on that and now he's at 35% CDR, giving his Q a 2.6 second cooldown.

So, with Q augment he'd have a 304 damage Q with a 294 shield, that would give him a big speed boost and make his subsequent lich bane auto do 1296 magic damage.

So, 1600 magic damage and 300 strength shield with a speed boost every 2.6 seconds, and that's only ONE of his skills. His laser still does 900 damage at 1100 range on a 6ish sec cooldown and his ult still does a total of 3270 damage.

That's pretty spectacular.

The downside is he doesn't have any armor or MR in that build, but he does have a 750 HP Seraph shield and is getting a 300 HP shield every 2.6 seconds from Q spam. Put a Heal/Barrier and a Lulu top shield on him and he'll be pretty hard to kill.

Numbers wise I feel like his early game Q bullying might take a hit in this rework, but he'll still be able to do safe laser farm and his late game will be ridiculous and absurd.

No, it's a big deal. Add in the tune for fizz to realize his skill didn't go off, and then react. You're usually in stun zone, especially when you consider you casted W first.

The silence removal hurts in a lot of situations. Many times you coild get full combo off before they could respond, and now their choice becomes stuck around and try kill you before ult kills them in like 3s, or gtfo. Now there isn't a window for you to kill then dead before can respond.

It's a huge nerf.

Depending on the timing and such of E augment he might actually not ne able to farm like that anymore.
Also a Braum's W would be way better than even a Lulu top shield in terms of EHP.

And the 6-items end game fantasy doesn't matter, especially when he's so bad at charging a Tear unless you stack CDR and splitpush with Q.
