EUW wasnt a ddos group. NA had some problems a while back with ddosing as well, but they stopped up until recently and now a group of people are ddosing NA again.

EUW was virtually always simply because they lacked enough servers.
NA East coast formerly had issues because the ISP(s) were routing League funny, making ping unnecessarily high. Current NA issues are due to ddos.

I've been surprised for a long time now that there isn't a USEast server. Not just for traffic reasoning either, but east->west ping can definitely climb into the low hundreds, and while that's certainly playable, it's also certainly noticeable.

I think the biggest reason why they don't want to do NA West and NA East is because NA has roughly half of the overall population as Europe does. And if we break that down into "reasonable" numbers, that would mean there's probably half as many people playing on US servers as there was in EUW at the time. They added EUNE to try and aleviate that problem, but it didn't help as everyone was playing on EUW, so they had to get more servers added to EUW and build a server farm to house it.
The "best" solution for NA servers would be to move the majority of the servers off the west coast and somewhere closer to the center of the US, most likely in Texas as that's one of the more popular places to build a server farm for online gaming (if memory serves, most MMOs in NA base their servers in Texas), with backup servers on the west and east coast for login purposes.

Better solution is to have 2 servers with shared stats & chat, with the current west coast server, and an additional one somewhere on the east coast. You can queue for a game on either server.

I think overall winrate on ADC over 3 seasons is like 30%ish.

I'm 2-9 on Karthus. On my smurf.

IIRC that wouldn't help. There are no hubs in Texas. Well not quite true, but there aren't any hubs big enough for League. If there are a lot of servers in Texas its for tax and land cost reasons. (for instance WoW datacenters are in New York, Phoenix, LA, and Chicago)
If you put something in Texas all the traffic will be routed from New York and LA anyway. (Probably routed from New York to LA to Texas). You won't gain any latency advantage from being in the middle of the US and you might even make it worse.
People on the west coast have good connections not because of their physical proximity to the servers, but because LA and Seattle are the second and fourth(?) largest hubs in the US. Everyone on the west coast can go directly to LA or to Seattle and then directly to LA*. On the east coast everything goes through New York (IIRC) which means that if you aren't in New York you go there first, then you go to LA. If you live in Atlanta you go to from ALT to NY to LA.
There could be more infrastructure now that allows them to skip the NY/LA jump. But that is how it used to be.
*E.G. i sit basically on top of the Seattle hub. My ping to riot is about 12. Anyone who can get to Seattle relatively quickly (iirc there is also a hub in Portland, but not sure about that) can get to Riot about 12 ms later than that.

East Coast ping never went down and is still unnecessarily high. In addition, packet loss has only gotten worse. routing issues is the fault of Riot's providers and people's ISP. They can work with them to make it better, but ultimately the only real fix would be to get better located servers or non-retarded providers/ISPs.
Packet loss could possibly also be due to ddos. Ultimately, the only real way to fix this is if officials crack down because it's simply not currently possible/commercially feasible to 100% prevent all ddos.
There's been quite a bunch of ddosing going on lately. I know GW2 had ddos problems with their servers today.

Dang lol. Checked my stats, 1/8 on ADC this season(Kog win was AP kog). You have the same winrate on one(IMO very simple) champion lol.

Its bittersweet with NA having server problems because you all told us to be quiet / stop whining / stfu when EUW had ALL the problems and were pissed but i like you all and don't want you to have problems

Apart from ADC's, for some reason i get rekt when i play annie./ jarvan. Like, i don't think my play is even that bad. I just have 35%~ win rates on them after 20 games q.q

if you play amumu and use bandage toss against ahri just as she charms you, the bandage just disappears and you dont move.
does anyone know if this is an intended effect??

Actually I think madreds+spirit stone is pretty bad. I figured out that you can actually farm up to wriggles and level 6 on your first back with udyr. Even if you can't becaues you tried to gank and didn't get any kills its still better to get madreds and then get wriggles+boots
Spirit stone is pretty good but if you aren't going lizard unless you're really behind I don't think madreds+spirit is worth it.
SoTAG is kinda nice on udyr but clearing slowly really sucks.
I actually played against trick2g when NA servers were bad. I assumed it was some euro guy with his name but martens 1 stream viewer told him that it was actually him. It was nasus vs udyr and I trashed him pretty bad, he CS'd pretty well but I had freefarm (even dove him with jungle a few times) and basically the 4 other members of his team went legendary and he just went to whatever lane I wasn't in LOL
He actually managed to be effective "split pushing" sort of, but I think if he grouped with the team they'd just end faster. It's still funny to see trinity/zephyr/frozen heart udyr go to get inhib turrets down to like 60% without any minions.
He literally took 3 inhibs where they won 4v5 (holy shit fiddle is so broken LOL) and then went afk on stream and then won like 4 mins later. he finished like 2/8 or something. I'm not sure if split pushing was even a good strategy against our comp with nasus+tp and honestly I don't think there is many comps where it is that good.
