They buffed Ziggs while nerfing every single other popular mid champion. This is the same thing that has made Veigar a pretty decent mid pick right now (baring a couple counterpicks). Riot has systematically nerfed every single mid laner that has become popular for the last year. It's kind of annoying and also what has led to the farm meta (mids are too weak to just straight up kill each other). I wish they would buff underplayed/powered mid laners up to the level of the outliers rather then just nerfing everything that sticks out. | ||

But that's the nature of the lane/game. Mids have to be influential in some way. The burst damage (comparatively) is still good late game, but not nearly as good as sustained damage or tankiness or combination of the two is that you'd get from the other positions. | ||

Jungles and mids working together to achieve objectives are a scary thing (in solo queue - competitive this is assumed). The mid used to play a big part in that. From what I've gathered, this is no longer the case. | ||
