Forgive my ignorance but I don't mid lane very often so I have no idea what core items are for Swain or the match-ups that are in his favor.
Thanks! Swain is really strong against melee champions with somewhat low burst, i.e. Diana, Mordekaiser, Chogath, Kassadin. He is also pretty good again Karthus. His biggest counters are probably Fizz and Katarina, owing to their healing reduction and good gapclosers (also no stun for Katarina's R). I disagree heartily with Fizz being a counter to Swain. Swain bullies Fizz super hard, especially early. Given how snowbally Swain is, you can ride this advantage well into the mid game, where Swain can dominate the game. That matchup goes very hard both ways. Swain bullies fizz really hard early on, but one gank and it'll turn around. I'll admit though, that if the fizz misplays at all, the fizz could just as easily find himself getting dunked on in lane as he can't cs unless he's underneath a turret without losing half his health. The whole game pretty much resides on the outcome of midlane there, because a fed swain is going to just eat every single squishy alive, and provide a wall of DPS, and fed fizz will just obliterate the enemy team almost 1v5. Dunno how it goes now though after the last round of fizz nerfs. He counters katarina and fizz actually, when they go in their going to eat a full q + e + w + r + auto attacks.
people who think fizz counters him cuz of healing reduction have prolly never played him tbh. him and katarina are both some of the easier matchups, his only real counters are ryze + cassiopeia

I've tried mid but I've been experiencing all lanes getting a solid beating, even if I roam and get some kills, I'm not able to carry the whole fucken team. Tried adc, did good, farmed good, won bot lane but jungle was mental, mid is getting raped/ganked constantly and top is meh...
I've tried jungle and this is probably one of the best choices to carry myself out of Bronze, so You can help at least 2 lanes to get some good ganks going (but they still keep dying :\), dunno which choice would be the best. Lee Sin is fine, Pantheon is fine as well but I want something else. What can You recommend? Xin is boring for me. Elise? thinking about giving her a shot. Hecarim? Zed maybe? ^^ I'm looking for someone that can deal a pretty solid amount of damage and doesn't melt in 2 seconds. Lee seems reasonable for that.
I've always liked Nautilus jungle but damn, that guy has like no damage. Even when You hit that lvl6 and u got ult I feel like he's terribly useless. Vi, Elise, and Lee are probably the most impactful in soloq at that level if played well. That is, of course. unless you play a mean Evelynn.

Not sold on Mordekaiser (and somewhat Cho'Gath, depends on how much AP he builds, also pre-passive nerf he'd outsustain Swain's mana when pushing), sure he lacks burst in lane but he can permapush you, and even if he doesn't roam he'll just outfarm you by taking wraiths and stuff while you're under tower. His E outranges you so if he plays it right he'll just force you to the side (or he'll hit the wave+you) and use the range to generate shield without putting himself in a vulnerable position. Both your ults are meant to make you unkillable too so it tends not to lead anywhere.

I've always liked Nautilus jungle but damn, that guy has like no damage. Even when You hit that lvl6 and u got ult I feel like he's terribly useless. One thing I've tried to make up for less damaging jungles is to simply build damage first (i.e. Spirit of the Spectral Wraith) before going tank, as well as building one additional damage item if it goes to late game and you can build a full 6 items.
I mained Maokai in season 2 and 3, and had a lot of problems in season 4 with the new jungle changes. Building straight tank on Maokai meant my damage fell off quickly and the jungle took forever to farm. By starting Spectral Wraith and THEN building tank items, I had an early mid game power spike that I could use to pose a threat in team fights, after which I slowly built tank items to deal with damage. That little bit of extra damage was what I needed to be a threat.
I only recommend this if you really really like a champion though. I myself will admit that Maokai is vastly inferior to Elise/Vi/Lee, but I have so many games played under him that I just feel very comfortable with the champion and can act more intuitively.

What do You think about mastering a single hero You really like and play him like 30-40-50 games in a row (if possible) or just main him and play as much as possible in a single season? I'm like I have a few champions that I love to play but I'm getting bored after 3-4 games and I keep changing the target of my love :\
One day I'm like, omg Mantheon rapes jungle (goes 11-2) and decide that I'll play Pantheon as much as I can and I decide to abandon him after 2 days or even the same day :\
I'm wondering if there is possibility to find a champion that suits You, Your playstyle and character and stick with him for at least 60% of Your games.
yes if you win too much you get slightly bored but losing and figuring out mistakes is a good way to keep finding it fun winning too much makes you climb ladder fast so its worth sticking to it so you lose more later

Just finished the Opening Party of E-Sports Square in Akihabara (Japan). Showmatch between Detonation FM (IEM rep from Japan) and CJ Entus. They used the Frost line up but they swapped out mid and jungler and used Ambition and Daydream.
Obviously it was a stomp but the bot lane for Detonation got some 2v2 kills on Space and Madlife. (Lucian/Thresh vs Ezreal/Blitzcrank, CJ playing the latter duo)
It was really only a stomp because Daydream got big through getting a early lead by killing Vi (as Khazix) at lvl 3? and Shy bullied Yasuo in top lane as Renekton.
I have some pictures from the venue but idk if they are any good. The CJ team and most of Detonation participated online.

damn once you hit lvl20 you instantly start laning vs guys with full t3 runes. its pretty painful in top - especially given the amount of mirror matchups that ive ran into (2 rivens mirrors yesterday, so so so dumb no matter who wins). Guess my next priority is to dump all my IP into T3's?

I dont understand this notion that EU LCS is higher skill than NA since the only EU team on NA which consists of players on one of the "top" EU teams are the worst team on NA
