I can't speak for everyone but personally I just have an issue with the fact that junglers went from 4th position to 5th position or negligible. Not to mention that Riot stated that they were gonna buff junglers, but the patch just feels like an overall nerf. In other words, the outcome was the opposite of Riot's stated goal, which sucks. Then again, it's not the first time they've done that.
I don't feel like the patch nerfs jungler. You may feel it that way because relic shield is op and create the situation 2-1-2 vs 1-1-2 which is clearly superior for 2-1-2. However, if you think about it, going jungling still gives you better xp for you and your solo lane, and after you get golem spirit, it's like having a 8gp10 item on top of the monster bounty.
When relic shields got nerfed down, we'll see junglers coming back i guess.
If 2-1-2 meta became dominant I'd expect 1-2-1 with jungler to start to pop up this is not a prediction just a hunch
1 solo laner starts relic shield -> Jungler visits lane to consume stacks every time a cannon spawns -> profit
This isn't really in response to your post so I'm not sure why I quoted that one in specific.

It sounds reasonable. Running 1-2-1 gives the support (which relic shields) more access to roaming both top and bot, which sounds interesting.
what's the deal with riot trying to give support insane gold flow for basically not doing shit? At least when supports were the ward jockies they were doing something like clearing/placing wards. But now they just get free gold from the stupid items and are tanky as fuck. I'm sorry, but im under the impression that not every role has to be a carry role. I know that riot and a lot of players think differently, but i was completely fine buying only wards and using my abilities to help the team as support, not buying a shit ton of defensive items and basically becoming an unkillable tank.

Standard 1-1-2 would be better than. Since the roam distance between top and bot is long, not as time efficient. With top and mid solo laner. The roaming jungle/support gains xp from both lanes and gold without spending too much time walking back and forth, as in comparison to top and bot.

blame sightstone, its a stupid item to give free vision w/o having much skill to control gold flow like in S2.

Uhhh, did you forget HOG's ridiculousness in S2? Sightstone filled that role much better.
The range on blue trinket is really disappointing, I don't really see the point of it except to like check over a wall into baron or dragon pit if you don't have a ward.

HoG in and of itself was not really degenerate, its ubiquity on supports more just signified the lack of real utility items for supports to buy in that price range. There simply was not much you could actually DO with the 800 gold you spent on HoG that would produce immediate advantage, particularly in lane, so you sat on HoG because by the time you actually needed anything your first gp10 usually was cost-effective.
Sightstone filled that hole, it's just that giving free vision is a pretty iffy way to make a utility item, given the implications that free vision has overall on the rest of the game.
Ultimately, Riot's failing is still that they STILL support income as a resource allocation problem and not as an incentivization problem (that is, they see support gold flow as an issue because there's not enough gold for supports to have, not a problem of there's not enough reason to give the existing gold flow to supports).
Gold flow for a large portion of the game is easily transferrable. It's not that a support cannot farm, it's that there is no reason for them to be given farm when there are zero support items in the game that are good enough to be worth taking farm off someone else for them to have.
The support gold items in S4 didn't really solve this problem, it just transformed supports into being able to buy core role items by giving them an enormous source of free gold. But you'll note that everyone who's tried to buy support items essentially "ran out of things to buy" because S4 still has not provided a large enough pool of effective support items.

Imo it's the perfect anti fnatic item in late game.
Riot did improve one item into what support items probably should look like now - Mikael's Crucible now is only 1600 gold and upgrades off a chalice + no other items. If support income drops down to reasonable levels (honestly it probably won't - the INCOME was never as low as it seemed, it's just several thousand gold was spent on stacks of wards, which doesn't do much anymore.)

What? Killing oracles and nerfing pinks? Tons of wards are a lot stronger than they used to be. It's just that it cannot be controlled by one individual anymore. Now it's a "team effort". I've lost all faith in riot.

I feel the exact same. I'm not sure if I should be duoing top, jungling, or what.
I really would like 2-1-2 lanes to be an option, because I think it'd bring some interesting game flow and lane compositions to play around with, but not at the expense of making jungle obsolete. Also, what are supports building nowadays? Still sightstone rush after Targons?
Bump for my earlier question.
Sidenote - what is the optimal jungle gank path now? I used to go bot lane buff, other buff, level 3 gank top. Did that big wraith being introduced change anything up, or have people kept it relatively the same?
Main thoughts on Yasuo's W: it needs a way higher CD. 26-18 CD is too low for a skill with that much impact (with max CDR has a 37% uptime, though CDR should be a poor stat). Either that or give it a longer windup time or dramatically shorter duration.
