Level 2 Q plants can do an absurd amount of damage early on, mandu uses it as it shoves the lane faster and Q plants pressure 2v1 far better. The thing about taking E early is that your lane pressure will become heavily reliant on landing it at the very start, Q + Plants is always guaranteed pressure when stats are low and the base damage is high it can bully hard. | ||

Q lvl 1 is more dmg and better harass. No reason to start E unless you catch someone lvl 1. I don't know what they take lvl 2 but I think Q+rangeplant is better and only E by lvl 3. | ||

like in soloQ you're going to lane 2v2 99.9% of the time and Q is better. But if you go for the low level brush camp strategy ( which I recently had surprisingly decent succes with because nobody expects it anymore, just gotta convince your jungler to start top side buff) I would ofc start E, as well. | ||

If you catch someone in such a terrible position, you're going to force a flash regardless. Indirectly, this means that your snare is going to be flash-dodged a good percentage of the time even if that's what you skilled up. Neither of these things is the case in solo-queue. Towers don't go down that fast, and people don't have anywhere near that quick of reaction time. For those reasons, among likely others, E is a completely (more) viable start for non-world-class level of play. If you go back and watch the first few levels, watch how quickly, and how brutally/completely Kennen is forced off the tower. If Kennen gets back to his tower fast enough, that amount of pushing may not have been possible even with the first blood if ranged plants don't come into play until level 3. And ultimately, that allowed them to force more objectives as a team through rotations and forcing the opposing jungler's hand. While I agree, this changes nothing to the point of the semi-final game (especially since that was no where near as fluky of a situation given how they were positioned), I think this is one situation where doing something differently than the pro might be the right play simply because it's a different environment. | ||

This is the runes/masteries mandu uses. 1/24/5 or 1/25/4 then pure armor + health quints aka Ningen Zyra(kr solo queue zyra only player) , which has been absolutely revolutionary since Ningen Zyra introduced this to soloqueue. | ||

Go 21/0/9, max Q in lane and harass like a... harassing machine. Be a lane bully. If they jump on you and kill you, it's cool, you'll get a revenge kill with your passive, because you've bullied them like a manly man. Works for me at least. | ||
