so basically we all have to take a wait and see attitude, but some of these changes look dubious to be sure. afaik misaya, madlife, etc. aren't employed by riot

I think s2 support items(old Zeke's/old SHurleya/spirit shroud), while possibly not what Yango is looking for, would be really nice to have back.
outside of that the game is mostly better imo, but I played mabye ~20 games in season 1 so I can't comment on those things. I disagree entirely (except that Shureylas should be used more). Zekes, Spirit Shroud, and Aegis (Locket is better somewhat) are generally terrible design, as are auras in general. Auras are, in reality, highly impactful and powerful in a team perspective, but from a gameplay and design perspective, they're boring: both to watch and to build as a character, because the impact they provide are subtle and difficult to feel.
That, and literally no one built Zekes/Starks or Spirit Shroud because they sucked despite their theoretical aura power.
@ Asmo: I joined league during Irelia/Trundle release (I can't even remember which). I experienced the horror of the metagolem. Pls no.

Of course its worse. The% of the cast that is yordles has gone down significantly.

auras being good or bad is heavily shrouded in opinion, my post alone shows there are people on both sides of the line.
I also attribute those items not being used to how much worse the pro scene was at the game at the time. (again opinion)

I'd like to talk about Experience in LoL
The amount of experience needed to gain the next level increases linearly.
- This means that when someone has 40% more experience than you, while you are level 10, they are not level 14. They are closer to level 12 or 13.
It is more than 1.5x better to have a level 15 champion than a level 10 champion.
- A level 15 can bully a level 10 and snowball the game by getting kills and denying experience and gold.
- This is disadvantageous to 2v1 lanes but it's really the only disadvantage and it's not very significant considering all the other points and the fact the 1v2 laner will be zoned out.
When people duo in a lane, they both get 70% of the experience, this is a total of 140% of the value of the creeps combined or 40% more than a solo laner.
- You can literally sit in lane as a jungler and your team barely loses anything as long as you're in range to soak up exp. This is especially true if your buff camps are not up and you don't have smite so doing a camp means you'd have to use a health pot.
- This is a huge advantage for the supports in lane.
Going along with this, duos tend to be more efficient with experience because collectively, they are away from lane for shorter periods of time
- Minor advantage again for 2v1 lanes.
All those other advantages of 2v1 lanes including safer laning, easier towers (sometimes) and the gold and experience that towers provide, are rather separate from experience as a whole.
This knowledge is all pretty basic and I'm sure many of you knew it already, but it's nice to list it out. Knowledge of the background is required to fix the problem.

I guess they decided to keep the more human skin tone over the pale version, but I still like it.

I'm sure there's some horrific flaw that you're missing.
But I actually think it's a pretty cool splash. The armor is very cool.

They've lost money for several years, which at least is different from like Apple which everyone says is solely profit oriented and gets away with overpricing their items because their marketing team is better than that of anyone elses'.
Just because they're not turning a profit doesn't mean they're not swimming in money. I mean, have you been to their offices? Holy shit, that place is nice.

In an attempt to become a more reasonable poster, I will be trying to refrain from commenting on these notes till I cool off.
Some parts make me wonder, though:
Executioner's Emblem executes minions below 200 health and grants gold to both you and the nearest ally when you last hit. Your ally gains a small gold bonus on top of this. This effect can happen up to twice a minute. So it has the "when you last hit, bonus gold!" part that seems to work internally somewhat like Tear stacking, and the execute. Does it mean having Emblem makes you automatically last hit minions with less than 200 HP than you deal damage too? In this case it makes it hard to zone people who buy it because their window for last hitting is greatly increased until the very late game. If it works this way and his cheap enough, I wonder if it could become cost-effective in 1v2 lanes, letting you get more last hits till you gain more than you paid for the Emblem.
We're actually doing some work to give Morgana an awesome item that makes her viable in the Jungle (for non competitive play). Look forward to Sol Kim on the Korean forums talking more about this next week... Who advocated her? Can't remember. I assume Ketara, since he participated in T.R.O.L.L.S.?
Philosopher's Stone grants gold every 10 seconds. When a nearby ally kills a minion, you earn gold. Last hit assists.
However, if I own Philosopher's Pebble, I can't buy Executioner's Emblem or Spellthief's Blade. Does it mean that they want to restrict stacking GP10, or prevent people from stacking utility?

That's a pretty cool splash art. I do prefer the pale version but that's so minor.
