I didn't really get into following the lcs until the S3 spring split was underway so I didn't know amazing was a person.

Rammus early game presence? Can't gank before 3, and even then he's super weak with only powerball -> 1s taunt (red buff > taunt for the purpose of a level 3 gank unless you somehow make a cast go through flash or interrupt a dash with it), he'd lose any 2v2. I mean, Rammus clearly doesn't need 6 and his non-reliance on Tremors (which has a super low cd anyway, shit's cray for taking towers after a successful gank, dragon, or just help steal a buff or tax a wave) makes him more dangerous than Fiddle or Vi with their ults down, but he still needs more levels than a bunch of champions before his presence really makes itself felt. But once Rammus hits 3, laning can be terrifying (almost as bad as laning when the enemy has an Eve). He just comes flying out of nowhere and it's essentially a guaranteed flash. Almost 100% kill if flash is down. Telling your laner to bait a fight can be risky for 2 reason. You have to be careful of the enemy's burst or fight style. If I'm laning as Annie, I can poke and do tons of damage without fully committing. This can make a gank very dangerous for you, especially without targettable hard CC. Also, there's potential for your laner to get completely bursted down immediately (this would be more obvious). Additionally, a countergank could come in before you get in for the gank because of the "bait". This often can put you at a disadvantage depending on the mid laners' CD rotations/damage/CC. I generally hate when my jungler relies on me to engage. If we coordinate the gank to go at the same time, it can work out beautifully. However, if he waits 1 or 2 seconds too long, it often spells my death and/or severe disadvantage in lane.

The early game comment was for J4, rammus is great in yolo queue because it's so easy to catch people with 500 mph powerball into a 3 second taunt.

I'd be warier if I was playing something like Mundo or Nautilus, yeah (Naut's too slow and clunky to make it work as reliably despite all the hard cc). I should train Mundo. I used to do well with him. Now I just kill myself by missing a billion cleavers. T_T

Ganking before 3 hasn't been a thing for most of season 3. A level 2 gank basically invites the enemy jungler to steal your other buff, which then makes it immediately impossible for you to contest his other buff because a double buff jungler with a level advantage will almost always win (especially in their own jungle).

I'm curious when the next patch will hit. In other news, I've been told that Poppy & Trundle will be balanced soon, so we can look forward to that.
