Lol okay first of all, curse is a multi-million dollar organization and is easily the richest na esports organization. Maybe tsm rivals its net worth, but I doubt it. Curse made a shitton of money from WoW long before it stepped into the LoL scene.
Secondly, chaox got kicked because he was toxic to the team atmosphere and he also clashed very publicly and dramatically with the owner and boss of tsm, regi. He was also underperforming at the time. While many members of curse are underperforming, they at least aren't defying their boss in the public eye. I do agree that its possible for curse to have a dramatic roster change, however.
EDIT: also wanna add that curse owns a ton of gaming related websites. Leaguepedia, for example, is owned by curse if I'm not mistaken.

I'm curious who came up with that zed lane counter with riven? Faker or kkoma/coaching staff? It was a brilliant move. Also supposedly faker only picked up riven during his time in NA. Fucking insane, especially considering learning riven is actually pretty hard, at least as far as learning her different type of engages.

Faker said he didn't play riven in korea but picked him up in NA solo queue and had fun with it so he tried it out in scrims.

I don't think it is, because when people are trolling in champ select, you can see them respond to the audience's cheers, and there is basically only loading delay between champ select and the game starting.

Interesting.
You CAN hear things through soundproof headthings, if those are the same ESL gives. You can hear clapping, cheering, but the sound is really distorted.
However, as someone mentioned, most of the sound is picked up through the microphone, especially if some people use voice detection (which is retarded in a live event but hey, a few of my teammates did it...). Hearing someone scream "DYRUS" from the top of their lungs is not unbelievable.
Not using sound proof booths or 20s delay is SO dumb loool
Even if not for cheating, the crowd is massive, if they scream during a massive teamfight you won't be able to communicate for shit because your microphone would get raped by all the screaming fans.
EPS Germany setup was imo just perfect for players, you have about 20 people in the live audience, enough to create fan interaction not enough to screw with your microphone.

I need some advice.
I no longer find the game fun. I still love the game mainly for the design (the characters, the lore, the skins, the events, the runes and mastery system).
However I have noticed that it feels more and more lately as if I have to play rather than wanting to play. Another downside that is almost making me hate this game is the people. I just get this feeling that if the chat feature was removed from in-game it would be so much better for me. If your only form of communication was through pings and voice chat I feel like it would be so much better (for me at least). I also hate how this game has become League of Reporting. Like seriously every fucking time I see some guy "REPORT BLAH BLAH" it makes me just furious that people focus more on taking out their repressed anger and frustrations on others by trying to help people get banned. These guys legit get pleasure from seeing someone potentially lose their account because they had a bad game and died a couple of times.
Is there anything I can do to make this game fun again...?

Use the mute key more liberally. When someone bothers me I mute em and the game improves drastically.

Just take a break and play very casually, or don't play at all. I haven't played a non AI game in like 4 months. All I do is log on, play a 15 minute AI stomp for the First Win of the Day bonus, then log off. Gotta farm that IP. That way when Riot release a champ you really think you might like (you stated you like the design/characters etc) that will reinvigorate your enthusiasm in the game, you can pick them up ASAP and give it a go.

OP.GG not very good at modeling mmr for duo queues. You get inflated mmr for the duo's and depressed mmr from everyone else on your team. So if you know someone is duoing when you check, keep that in mind.

Riot are pretty stubborn and only really change things when a shitstorm happens. Believe their excuse for not having booths was that it removed from the fan-player interaction. Which in hindsight makes sense since fans wouldn't be able to tell players when crucial events are happening otherwise.
