Guitar actually advocated Tear on her, something I'm not sure about but could potentially be interesting. She can possibly have mana issues in prolonged fights where she ends up spamming Q a lot. 100 mana per cast, even with her passive, can get pretty expensive, fast, so having a big pool to abuse it could potentially be good.

I've been Aatrox a lot (literally every game I can when I go top) and while going straight tank sucks, I don't think he really needs any more offensive items other than botrk. I've been having a lot of success going either cutlass -> situational defensive in hard lanes or just straight up botrk -> situational defensive. I'm just a gold scrub though.

Colder than a Nunu ult, that.

Can't be zoned from farming, my turret can't be pushed and diving on me when my ult is up ends poorly for the other team. If anyone feels like messing around and trying it for themselves so i can brainstorm with someone else it'd be cool.
Edit: The main draw is just sniping the crap out of everyone and being able to selfishly take blue at every opportunity. I've always felt that he's better off going AP in mid. That stack burst is insane.

The fact that you can just suicide tower dive at early game and then heal up with 0 chance of drawing tower aggro is particularly abusive. Meanwhile with Zac people and towers can stop you from coming back.
Also, build BotRK on Riven and I will laugh at you.

I think the argument that pre-nerf zac was a better aatrox is pretty hard to deny. Aatrox's passive is clearly better but there was really nothing else where zac couldn't do the same thing but more unfairly.

I don't like the idea of Tear on Lissandra, although to be fair I haven't tried it. But here's my logic on the matter.
#1 - The only skill she can spam to charge tear is Q, since W and E are both long cooldowns and you need to save them in case crazy things happen.
#2 - Spamming Q is how you go oom on Lissandra. Lissandras passive is ridiculous but you have to make use of it correctly. Because her passive recharges between minion waves, and because Q is your farming skill and your high mana skill, if you make your passive-proc a Q that hits all the enemy minions, you'll never go oom when farming even without mana items. If you're spamming Q to charge Tear you're going to end up using your passives on Q's that don't hit much, and you'll go oom even with the extra mana.
Basically the way you farm on her is you hit all the minions with a passive-Q that costs no mana, then walk into the wave and kill them all with W, which has a low mana cost and also drops your passive by 6 seconds because it just hit 6 things.
#3 - Lissandra does damage. Lissandra has the ability to really bully some lane opponents (like AHRI and ZED), but in order to be threatening you need to be building damage on her. That's why I go Dorans Ring > Haunting Guise. This makes me very strong at level 6-9 when I have like, Dorans, Sorc Shoes and an Amp Tome, which is when her damage is comparatively the highest. You get kills in lane when you're doing that, whereas if you do more passive items like I used to do on her, you end up playing very defensive because you don't have enough damage.
It'd be interesting to see a Tear build in bad matchups though, like against Leblanc or Syndra. I really haven't figured out what to do in those lanes yet.

The AS scales really well with Aatrox with his W, and combined with the active and ult range increase, it allows you to dish out a lot of damage with your W turned on. And if anything, botrk is more versatile.

Hydra works better for Riven's playstyle because she needs to burst people by midgame. BT just takes too many auto attacks to outpace hydra active.
In addition, it allows for safer backdooring by not needing to blow your escapes to push and opting out into LW against heavy armor stackers in lane.
