Remember how towards Season 2 Worlds NA started slacking off and some people started to get burnt out? I have a nervous feeling that NA peaked too early this year (AllStars and start of summer) and other regions like EU are training much harder. Worlds could look really ugly. Anyone else feel this way?

Well C9 and Vulcan didn't slack during superweek when they were playing for NOTHING. No one else is really worthwhile to look at unless they do something intriguing between now and worlds, so IDK what you are talking about.

C9 and Vulcun are good, but they don't seem to get much better, whereas I've been impressed with EU's improvement during superweek and playoffs. Maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there. It's also late, so I'm going off more gut feeling than analytical thinking.

edit: maybe it's because C9 (and Vulcun) don't have any teams that challenge and push them to up their game, whereas in EU, the records were ridiculously close and everyone was trying their hardest.

It has to do with their competition. Some teams did better or worse than others, LD and MYM. Meanwhile, the body of the competition(2-7 for EU), is super close and competitive.

Meanwhile in NA, C9 was worlds ahead, Coast collapsed, Velocity sadly just couldn't compete. Out of Vulcun and the Big 4, 2-6, only Vulcun were able to make big progress, and it shows. While not reaching the success of C9, they ere still able to work out a 6 game lead over the pack.

EU just has better parity due to the relative skill level between the teams. This causes more and faster progression. I'd worry about the lack of parity in Korea, except it has the built in failsafe of the sister teams. Does KT Arrows suck? Yeah, but as long as KT is willing to support them they will have a constant sparring partner with one of the elite teams in the region and they will get better.

I think it's unfair to compare EU to NA impressions when EU is finishing their regional today when NA hasn't even started theirs. Fewer teams have been around as long as NA's big 4, teams forged in BoX formats and not 1 offs. I really feel like the LCS format hinders them to some extent. I'm really looking forward to NA regionals to see if the big 4 behave differently in light of that, to what extent, or if my hypothesis is unfounded.

I know I went over a bit there and I feel if I continued I'd get into Alaric territory. Quick, somebody give me something to make puns about. =]

So, nearly enough IP for lucian, is he worth buying/learning? He seems more technical than most ADC's, more along the lines of ez than cait, etc, which is what I'm looking for. Plz correct me if I'm wrong >.>

From what I've seen of him, I feel like Lucian is what Quinn should have been.

Quinn much more bursty and duely. Lucian feels much more burst caster. I'm sure genja would love playing lucian, since you dont need to build AS.

I think vulcan improved immensely. They aren't losing to teams they shouldn't anymore and Zuna hasn't thrown recently.

I feel like Lucian has a really good early-mid game but both his passive and his ult are crap lategame, where IMO he should have at least one of them being good. (his ult fully channeled barely does enough damage to do more than 70% of someones health)

I also feel like Quinn is a weird but overall strong carry, y ppl not play her moar.

@ Gahlo: parity not parody. Parody is something else entirely.

Really though, I'd wait for the NA regionals to start before we make judgement calls.

@ Dusty: her range gimps her, basically. She's rather weird in that she's a better solo laner (mid lane into roam) than a bot laner.

Either way works, though flat is always more reliable. Esp. better when you're up against, say, a Leona.

I still use scaling mr instead of flat for all my pages though.

I'm pretty sure I read something about those tickets being sold for finals were not sold to scalpers, but the venue has to sell a certain percentage of tickets to "scalper-esque" companies (as they have some sort of agreement).

what pauper wrote that article, magic pen reds on Zyra? Split pen baby get that pleeb shit outta here.

oh he has it later, his "Zyra test" page is fine but if you have his "Post apoc" page, it's better for Lulu/Zyra, once you have split pen I'd recommend deleting the "Zyra test" page for supports, early game damage too important for supporting.

also I agree with Dusty, it would be nice if Double tap scaled up to 100% at 18, he has no other steroid.
Carrilord has arrived.
