I think scaling runes are dumb on supports because supports get levels the slowest on the team.
Scaling MR break even at I think level 9? Even if you do well you'll be level 9 when the enemy team is level 11.
I wouldn't use scaling MR unless the enemy lane is nearly 100% physical damage like Janna Cait or Janna Graves.
Also, what's the skill order for support Zyra? I am playing her for funsies and haven't done it in months.

Wow I just realized that because of EU's poor performance at the allstar the #1 team from EU isn't even directly sent to quarter finals at worlds while NA, garena, china and KR are. This makes so few sense considering the """"allstar"""" team that was sent and the fact that real teams aren't even playing at this special event. Oh well I'm sure we'll see who deserved the slots at worlds

The real answer to this is to expand/shrink the number of regions so it's a power of 2.

Or actually made a proper tournament format of 16 teams (one extra from China and Taiwan).

Also how the hell is Froggen streaming again so quickly? Is the EG LoL house in Cologne?

Man I'm trying to read that tournament bracket and figure it out and I don't understand it at all.
Can somebody give a better explanation of how the brackets work?
I thought since KR won the all stars they were going to have more spots than NA and EU did, but I guess we all get 3?

Korea originally had 2 spots. If NA/EU won All-Stars, they would have 4 spots instead of 3. Korea #1 (Sword/KT Rolster B, depending on how the final goes), Taiwan #1, China #1 and NA #1 (most likely C9) are seeded into the quarter-finals. The remaining 10 teams are divided into two groups of 5 where the top 2 advance to meet these seeded teams.
I still think this is one of the most retarded tournament formats ever.

Korea gets an extra spot because they won the All Stars. They were originally going to only have 2.
edit: Shen'd

How do they decide that NA gets 3 spots, EU 3, China/Korea 2, etc?
Also, is South America really so bad they get absolutely nothing?
|
I think they based it on the amount of players in that region. Korea had a relatively small playerbase so gets only 2. South America has close to no pro scene. Maybe that'll change now with Pain doing well and Riot being (seemingly) succesful.
|
Probably based on player numbers. Also more fans of tsm/clg/crs/eg etc than of most kr/ch teams.

Seems very arbitrary, from an uneducated perspective.

For example you could do an OSL-style group drawing and give the 1st seeds priority picks.

Personally, I think it's just Riot playing favorites for the big name NA teams to try and get one of them into Worlds.
It's becoming increasingly obvious that Riot does this over various things--for example changing the relegation format mid-season in a way that protects 1 more of the big name teams and favors teams already in LCS during relegation.

Hey guys, do you know where I can buy a Rammus and Teemo hat? Is there any official site or something?

To be fair, the same thing happens in most traditional sports. Take football for example, bigger and better 'regions' (England, Spain, Germany, Italy) get more (sponsor/television) money as well as more spots in the tournament. Ofcourse a lot of it is down to the results as well, but FIFA/UEFA especially are famous for favoring the favourites as much as they can in their tournament system(s)
Personally I hate it (maybe because I am from and support one of the smaller nations in terms of club football), but it makes sense from a business perspective.
