I ping the hell out. And use the chat often, and be nice and asking people to do things rather than ordering. But I can really afford to do that because I'm support most of the time, if not adc.

No idea. Even in arranged it's hard as hell to get your team to do what you want. Maybe the game's supposed to be like that.
I think it comes down to the fact that you need 4 other strangers to think that what you're thinking is the best possible option for success.
Mostly it's spamming pings, and typing.

Ping, talk, be positive, compliment good plays/teamwork. Some teams are hopeless (especially teams that have 3 "leaders" that all want something different) but I have been having good luck with teams at least sticking together.

Well, often times your team will just listen to the guy who is the most big at the time.
If you not the most big, settle back and get carried, nothing wrong with that. Ping and make sure people are aware of dangers, but dont thrash ping them and such. A lot of the time the problem is there are too many Chiefs and not enough Indians... sometimes best strategy is to be an Indian, imo. Just a little tidbit I learned when i forced myself to play support for like 50 games. You can win a lot of games by just shutting up and listening to some idiots plan, even if realistically his plan sucks and is the wrong thing to do.
I have a lot of success with typing and vocalizing a general plan. For example "We need to get a ward on baron and entrances and have pressure in that area." A pretty obvious statement, everyone who has ever played the game knows that late game you need baron wards and a presence there, and if you say it like that they think of it as a team thing, like you saying you need to do that and be better and they kind of go "yeah, I think that too."
/shrug
It not bad to ping and make people aware, but I feel like thrash pinging doesn't really accomplish much aside from pissing people off. Not saying you do that, just my general experience.

I find that people respond the best to pings. Like two quick pings seems to get the attention of everyone, but pinging excessively is extremely annoying and causes people to disregard it. I only type in like three situations.
1. When something very particular has to be said that can't be communicated by pings (for example, "will you be building aegis/oracles?")
2. Giving positive feedback to teammates for a good play, first blood, a successful gank by the jungler, etc. I suppose short attempts to stop fights between teammates go here, but I personally find that just doing game-related pings to draw the attention away from the fighting to the actual game is far more effective in putting an end to fights than involving yourself in chat.
3. Lighthearted banter, joking around with teammates and opposing players, etc.
Also, drawing the attention of your team through regular, relevant, and important pings seems to do a lot in making the team group up which often is very difficult to do in solo queue. Overall, I really, really like the four ping system they put in place not to long ago. It allows you to communicate A LOT without ever pressing enter which is pretty fucking awesome.

Has it been decided whos going to Worlds this year from China and SEA?
Also what teams are playing in the Korean qualifier for worlds from sept 4-7?
Edit: Found the korean one: http://lol.gamepedia.com/Season_3_Korea_Regional_Finals
Anyone think Blaze/Frost have a shot at beating KTB / SKT?

Welp, last try for diamond. Won 2, lost 2, and now for the last attempt.
EDIT: And SUCCESS!!
Except out of all the diamonds I'm friends with, it put me into some random division with a friend of a friend?

SEA is GAMA Bears and Mineski. China's qualifier tourney hasn't started yet, but has OMG, Royal, iG, and PE participating.
And while I think Blaze/Frost have a shot, I don't think they'll beat both(which they'd have to to win the spot).

So no WE?

Doesn't look like it

Hate when you go into a game knowing things are going to be bad. Pick lux, be told to go top with vlad. I say OK. Then you get into the game and somebody that says nothing the entire game goes top with vlad. So now I am stuck playing support lux with yi. Basically no communication the entire game. Times like that are when the game is not fun. Early game lux is hard for me for some reason too ><. I usually start off with 3-4 deaths by 10 minutes, then I proceed to almost never die after that.
Also, why is it that a level 30 is in a game at level 15? I have had that happen several times now. Frustrating having an experienced player with heroes that I havent seen before lol (this case, Jarvan IV)

the lvl 30s that are in games with low levels are usually completely atrocious. For instance most of the time when I'm smurfing with my friend on like lvl 10 accounts the lvl 30s are horribly terrible and tend to lose despite all those advantages. It shouldn't really happen unless your winloss record is like 25-1 though unless of course they're duo queueing with someone else.

Ah, they are probably duo queueing, there is usually like a level 8 in the game too. Despite our team getting thrashed they had somebody that was like 0-9-4 by the end.

those insec ward kicks are actually a lot easier to do than i initially thought. I'm plat 2 atm and I'm able to do the standard insec pretty easily.

Like 300x easier now that I'm on OCE. 180ping means you've already walked halfway towards the ward before you can actually W to it lol

They looked good against Ozone losing barely 3-2. I think if they fix up their draft they could do a lot better. Also if they go on 3.10a shy will have a bigger advantage over Insec.

My normals group has the highest normal elo in the game but we run into pre-30s usually about once a day. This happens because normals also has accelerated elo and these guys are smurfs who have been stomping actual low level people.

If you get used to smartcasting for skills and items, ward kick only takes like 2,3 clicks. It feels cheat when you can do it so easily really.
