Its true. Once I figured out my internet and got it down to like 60 ping, as opposed to the old 100-130 its much better. I would say that 20 MS is worth a beer in terms of performance.

seriously, your connection is garbage.

Haha I'll never forget when Oceania first came online. It was double Lee sin every single game.
On a side note, Tyrant Swain is on sale. Picked it up and I am not disappointed.

So I got pissed off and decided to just teemo from now on. To my surprise I utterly carried every single game and have gained back a decent chunk of my points. I have a 6.0 average KDA so far. Is teemo actually a good solo queue champion to carry with? Have I found my solution to "elo hell"? When I hit D5, I went up to promos for D4, lost, then proceeded to lose 21 games. I had a negative W/L, and was playing with mid gold players. It wasn't very hard crushing my way back up, because no matter how many games I lost, I could have a massive impact on the game compared to my opponent.
I actually have some interesting anecdotes about games there too.
As for teemo, I have never seen a teemo win a game, but a game be won in spite of teemo. Essentially if you win with teemo, you could have won with a better champion. But what you may have run into is that at lower elos people don't play well against ranged champions in a normally bruiser lane.

Yes. Teemo is the requiem, he is thy lord, you shall obey. If you one day decide to change your ways of life, your food will be poisoned and you will die.

I'm finding teemo to be super strong at gold1/plat5. playing him AP or AD, doesn't matter. win lane, draw 2-5 people top all game, buy wards, shroom everything, carry. If i'm first pick i'll just ban pantheon, jayce and malphite, and first pick teemo. 48-28 with the rat at the moment.
AP Runes: Hybrid, Armor, flat AP, flat AP ill start ward, pot, flask and rush nashors, and head towrads morellos, sorcs, liandrys in whatever order feels reasonable at the time.
AD Runes: Hybrid, Armor, flat AP, some combination of lifesteal/ad. ill start dorans blade, rush bork, and head towards hurricane, zerkers, bruta-->cleaver in whatever order.
i've tried 17-0-13 starts for ward + biscuit dorans starts, i've tried 27-0-3 cheese masteries, really doesn't matter. teemo is awesome.
my favorite so far has been vs yorick: 3 lifesteal quints + 17-0-13 masteries + dorans blade start, taking flash teleport, and rushing vamp scepter, you can out sustain mediocre yorick players with proper brush kiting. fewer than 3 lifesteal quints, or not taking the 3% LS/SV mastery in utility, and the lane starts to get ugly.

Isn't one of the biggest problems with solo queue split pushers is that you have to stop the moment one of your teammates gets caught?

Quick question : I'm currently silver I and often matched vs Gold I, II even plat V sometimes. Is my MMR high ? If so, why do I only win 5-6 LP per win ? (I'm around 60LP, not even close to promo). Or are their MMR really low ? This system is confusing ...
|
Uh, I started gaining +4/5 when I was around 25-30 LP in Silver I. Once promoted I've gained between 38 and 20 (decreasing as I go up) until now where I'm at 70 LP Gold I (won 20 last game), so as long as you keep doing well, you'll just rocket upwards once you're promoted. It's probably a mix though.
|
If I got it correctly, you win less LP when you're in the 1st division of your league. It's to avoid people getting promoted on a lucky streak since you cant get demoted from a league.

Yeah I don't like that his ult is only his torso, but the rest of the spell effects are really classy. The extra particles (like birds actually 'tormenting' the opponent) are great and make up for it.

Seriously at gold 5 just play who you have the most fun with and don't give a fuck about team comp because you don't really have a team, just 4 other people who don't understand how to win vs 5 other people who don't understand how to win.

180 is close to what I used to get at university, and yea its garbage. Counterstrike was impossible to play.

It does happen, but not always. Mostly it's because the system entitles you unworthy of a promotion, thus making the progress from 1st division -> new tier, more difficult. However if you progress extremely rapidly or extremely slowly, you should be gaining your usual amount, because you either raped your MMR towards tiers above you, or it takes you so long that you're walking hand-in-hand with your MMR.

So, I've been playing a lot of Rengar lately and I'm scared that the upcoming change will take away the most fun part of Rengar: "The Booo effect".
I understand that Riot wants to change him, his laning is incredibly binary and the only counterplay is pink/oracle or a heavily guarded ADC during team fights. I actually don't mind them leveling him out, but the entire reason I play him is the way you can scare the bejeezus outta people by jumping on them with a roar. This excites me to no end, even if I don't get the kill.
Anyone heard anything with regards to planned changes?

I think he is keeping stealth with some kind of sprint mechanic. IN any case, hes probably going to be OP post-remake, or UP post remake, considering they seem to not be removing Ferocity, or the Heal on his W. And as long as those two things exist, he is always going to be OP or UP.
|
You can follow this thread. Basically they want to give him super mobility through his ult, while removing the "free escape" mechanism from stealth, so the current iteration has him sporting a huge %MS buff for a long duration (and his next attack being a pounce as if he came from a bush) which he can, after a few seconds, switch to a stealth for a set duration without the boost (so normal MS, still pounces since he's stealthed). The idea for them is that you can roam super well with it because you cover a huge distance with the sprint, but if you want the stealth you lose the MS, making it harder to dodge wards and run at people before they can react even if they have an oracle.
Other stuff they're reworking is making E a skillshot (so it's more powerful in exchange), empowered Q gives 3 bonus ferocity so he can "chain" empowered Qs if he has enough CDR, with the reduced damage/AS on the ability it means he's more about dps and less about burst. And a big set of changes for the bonetooth necklace, less stats, more perks oriented (they're working around ideas akin to Nidalee's passive iirc, playing with bushes and all).
Edit: woah, I went from gaining 20+ and losing ~15 to -20, +19, +6 for my last 3 games. Guess clamping activated. And -13 when we get a raging kiddo going afk. T_T
